And that's good enough for me because that's all I use it for lmao

I said it's helpful to win an argument. Not 100% perfectly correct every single time lmfao

I actually did use "factoid" correctly here. According to the Cambridge dictionary the Definition is

an interesting piece of information

And that's exactly what I use it for. I'm not talking about debating economic policy on national television (but tbf, the ai summary probably does a better job than the talking heads haha) but just stupid little things you """debate""" with your friends.

Some examples Ive used it for recently.

"Were the cars in mad max real cars" and heres the response

Yes, the vehicles in the Mad Max films, especially Fury Road, are based on real, modified cars, rather than CGI or camera effects, with over 150 real cars used in the filming of Fury Road. Here's a more detailed look

And then it had some details about some of the big cars. And then it linked to articles like this one or this one

Or "how much does a da Vinci (surgery robot) cost?", and heres it's answer:

The cost of a da Vinci surgical robot typically ranges from $1.5 million to $2.5 million.

And then had some details of different models of da Vinci machines. But it also linked to this source and this source

And those are just two of the recent searches I have in my search history. For stupid factoids like that it's really great. For anything more nuanced or complicated than that it falls apart.

And yeah it has incorrect information sometimes. But you know what else gets incorrect information? Me when I drunkenly skim the first article that pops up while my friends drunkenly yell over each other. So id say it washes out.

National Forests and National Parks are different things and are managed by different departments.

National Parks (like Yellowstone) are managed by the National Parks Service and we're put aside for conservation and public access. They are protected in perpetuity. As much of a shit head Trump is and as terrible as the Republicans are, I don't think they could actually open these up.

Meanwhile, National Forests are managed by the Department of Agriculture. They were specifically put aside to be public land and to protect the US lumber industry. The rules have been slowly opened up to allow private purchase (for individuals and ranches) and different types of resource gathering (mostly fishing and ore mining, with some oil mining).

I think a lot of people in this thread are mixing up the two as well. National Forests are specifically used for resource gathering and more resource gathering isn't out of the ordinary for these parks.

Maybe. But everyone knows gravity pulls "down" and not "towards the center of the oblate spheroid" (nonsense word made up by """mathematicians""" to make us look like fools)

[–] [email protected] 2 points 18 hours ago

I could see this. I honestly think chicken wings are better cold too

Sure but you forgot one thing. Gravity.

Gravity pulls down, so when you go towards the North Pole you are actually getting further from gravity and that lesser force still pushes the entire effect into the positive. If you tried this in the south pole you would actually get older!

He's traveled there a bunch and owns real estate in Russia, but I don't believe he ever lived there? I also haven't seen any real evidence that Melania has any ties to the KGB outside of just being Russian.

Edit: before anyone gets any ideas I am an American and I did not vote for trump.

Damn that's a shame. My team would also do this like once a month and the buffet we went to absolutely loved us. They would keep the party room open for us and prepare extra food the night before. Hell the owners came to some of the bigger meets too when they could.

Then someone drove a semi truck through the front of the building (nobody was hurt, it was overnight) and they never reopened :(

I could see that changing. I think a lot of the other competitors went with Windows mostly because they either come from a legacy manufacturer (Lenovo, ASUS) or have been making handhelds longer than Valve (GPD).

But now that SteamOS is practical and able to actually run games i bet well see some shifts. Lenovo is already selling a SteamOS version of their Legion Go S handheld.
