It is less about portability on sales and more about the ability to drive R&D.

The technology will continue to improve. If they fall behind, that will be what really tanks sales.

They have a lot of cash but they need to keep feeding the R&D on batteries, charging, software, and cost reduction tech.

Their biggest protection is tariffs since fairly large markets are locking out all their real competition. As long as those are in place, they will be able to soak up much of the EV demand.

I own a computer store. There is a guy outside that shines shoes. I pay him about $30 a year to shine my shoes. Business has been pretty good and I like nice shoes. He never buys a computer from me (says he cannot afford it).

Clearly he is taking advantage of me because we have a huge trade imbalance. Nasty, nasty guy. I am hitting him with tariffs soon.

I think you mean money

Entry level at most jobs will be hit. If you basically exist to do grunt work that somebody else assigns and will “approve” before going out, AI may replace you. I would not want to be a junior marketing communications person.

I assume you, teaching as the profession that we have today is not at all safe.

With Win 11, you still get the security updates though right?

I hope many of us are able to pick them up cheap instead.

I always think the same. But everybody knows Bill Gates by sight. Do you think everyone instantly recognizes Satya Nadella?

If the NDP makes me live under Conservative rule, I am going to be pissed.

I am starting to support tariffs on Alberta. She is really running me the wrong way.

The only issue with LFS is maintenance. It is one thing to set it up but having to manually keep it all up to date does not sound like fun.
