I recently discovered https://www.shoplikeyougiveadamn.com/ and many of the shoes I looked at were vegan and made in europe. I didn't purchase anything on there yet, so I can't vouch for their reliability

Been there. I feel that stating your needs is often enough. Instead of explaining complicated and intimate thoughts/emotions tell the other person "I need some time for myself" or "I don't want to speak about this topic" etc. ... It strikes the balance between not making yourself vulnerable and setting boundaries.

Self check: maybe I feel this way because I became more happy with myself lately. Therefore: if it doesn't work for you, that's okay.

I just read lately that younger generations in germany drink less alcohol. I am not sure what the common reasons are, but I think the weed legalization made questioning the effects of alcohol more mainstream.

Eww! Eww!! Eww!!! Was ist der Kontext?

Degooglen.

I feel like I am missing some context here

Recently launched Sims 4 on my Linux System and was surprised to see that it worked despite EA App/Origin/orwhateveritscalled not being installed :3

I broke my system several times and probably will continue to do so. Linux really shoehorned it into my thick skull to make backups xD

Apart from that I can recommend saving any important data on a seperate drive or partition from the OS and keeping a thumbdrive with the live OS around. If the system is truly borked, you can boot the liveOS and do some damage control, like getting important data out, before reinstalling the system.

Best of Luck on you Linux journey. :)

In Germany we have...

Markus Söder, who changes his opinion faster than the wind turns and likes to put his face on anything; Shirts, cups, giant chocolate eggs, you name it. He also was very big on making Bavaria a german Cape Canaveral. No Idea what happened to that. But he is a huge populist, so probably nothing.

Then there is Friedrich Merz, our soon to be chancellor. He comes off as cold, mysogynist and increadibly out of touch. Under his leadership his party (CDU) has slowly veered to the far right, integrating nazi viewpoints into their programm.

These two on their own are just right asshats, who can't compare to Trump's bullshit (yet), but if you would fuse them together... maybe?

King Arthur will come with his coconut playing entourage and claim my mortal soul. I should get a white rabbit. or maybe I should avoid it? Who can tell

Not that many, bacause I don't have a lot of space. I borrow from the library occasionally, which is brilliant, because it's cheap and doesn't take up space.

And yes, I weed my collection and keep only books that I really enjoyed or know that I'll reread. Sometimes I try to sell them 2nd hand, others that are lesser value I leave at these public book cabinets.

I hardly ever give away educational books though. I feel like I could come back at them anytime and they'll still provide information and usefullness.

So weit so gut.

Hi there, I started using Linux Mint Cinnamon a few days ago and am currently setting up my workspace, that includes software I can't find through the integrated Software Manager

My biggest issue is that I don't understand how to determine if software is compatible with Mint. Often devs declare their product to be compatible with ubuntu. Since Linux Mint is based on ubuntu, does that make the software automatically compatible?
