Okay so I made the admittedly dumb mistake of assuming it was 2FA when i tried signing in. But yeah disabling 2FA didn't work. Interestingly what did work was changing the password. Maybe XMPP does not enjoy non-keyboard characters?
Say is it possible to authenticate against your XMPP servers with 2FA enabled on lemmy? I haven't had any luck.
