I wouldn't say "jerk", but maybe a little insensitive to supporting his dreams. The hard part about being a parent is that your kid needs to fail sometimes, and your protesting to the failing will only create a divide between you two. Offering advice once is totally fine, but continuing will make the situation worse. He will likely fail pursuing his dream, and reality will hit him hard afterwards, but that's ok. Just make sure he has your support, and he knows you love him.

It doesn't matter that you've learned this life lesson already. He hasn't. Sometimes, you have to learn the hard way for it to stick.

I like lemmy more, but it doesn't have as much daily content, so I use both.

I recommend jump rope if running tends to hurt your knees, ankles, or shins.

Just let it happen.

The final nail in the coffin for me was looking at a world map and thinking about other religions. These people here were raised on this religion, and they believe wholeheartedly that they are right. But, I also believe that I am right. Everyone believes their religion is right, and that belief is solely based on what you were exposed to in your region. Doesn't that mean it's all bullshit? Only one belief can be right. Religion is shaped by the culture of the land, and if the culture changes, so does the religion. With all the changes to each religion over time, that means the original beliefs are gone, or the original "correct" religion is gone. I suppose a current one could be the correct one. It's just infinitly likely that there is no god since religion is formed by those in power instead of an actual god contacting the people of the world.

Nono, let them think it's great. More real estate in practical areas for me. Let them suffer.

Imo it works way better if you binge it. There are tons of issues with the plot, but if you don't have time to think about it, the show is pretty good.

Republicans have majority control over the media. They don't know what's happening because their news doesn't cover it.

On Email? Never. Through messaging like microsoft teams with a coworker you already know? Sure. With your boss? Maybe not, but that depends on your boss. It's pretty normal for work messages to be more bland, though.

I saw someone bring their bobcat into a Lowes once. It was on a leash, and you bet I did not trust that leash. It looked overwhelmed.

If you always get up at 5am no matter when you go to bed, your body will eventually force you to go to bed at a decent time.
