Not really, we humans killed most big land animals that we found as we expanded our territory, back when we were hunters. This happened in big "islands" like Australia and Madagascar, as well as all the small islands. There, large animals had lived in equilibrium for centuries, and their extinction matches some short time after humans arrived. An exception are the galapago islands, as they were discovered in the 19th century.

That doesn't mean that others don't have to. I installed Debian on a partition and couldn't get the WiFi USB stick to work. The manufacturers drivers couldn't be installed because they were ancient, and installing a generic one for the chip didn't work. Had to give up. In windows it's plug and play.
I want your help in my own
Nfc payments. Google pay doesn't work. I believe any other doesn't work either but Im not 100% sure. I never used them
Payments don't work, because of the play integrity api. But the bank apps that I use do work, even though they didn't in my previous phone that was running a custom ROM with magisk to hide the tampering. GrapheneOs supplies their signatures so that app developers can support it, but I imagine not all will.
For me it has been a great experience so far. Installation was easy and fast, the privacy settings are great and almost everything works for me just fine. I had a couple of issues that was able to fix by searching for it on their forums, which is quite active

There's something similar in Spain called Bizum, created by banking institutions. Most Spanish banks implement it so your phone number is associated to your back account, so you can send and receive money instantly without fees to anyone just by knowing their phone number. Works really well.
