They can criminalize you for doing it. Would you take the risks?

Safety is not what’s this about, it’s obviously control
Not the "install a VPN to be safe on public wifi" again 😭
Sure we’re on Lemmy, but this isn’t that true to outside world people. Most of them play a few games at best, and most of them are made by companies with a lot of money
We just said Epic doesn’t like Linux. I want a Linux compatible competitor to Steam.
I run Heroic Games Launcher and it works well, but support should be native
And apart from that, Fortnite makes money through in app purchases or micro transactions, not games sales. Improving their store would be huge
That’s dumb. Steam needs competition.
That’s a you thing
Fortnite can’t be played on Linux?
Two F2P games? Most sales happen on Steam, except those few rare examples.
Yet they also are the ones who pushed unregulated gambling and the whole skins economy
They’re also the ones that are accused of abusing they monopolist position regarding store prices (if you sell on Steam, you can’t sell cheaper elsewhere)
By all means, their actions have good consequences, but don’t be fooled.
Valve abandoning their 30% greedy cut? Never!
Sure, but with a VPN. If my government wants to ban VPNs, I guess it's pretty easy to see that 99,9% of my requests go to single IP that belongs to a VPN server
