Sorry mate, you seem to have spelled Vegemite wrong

I’ve been tempted by the giant marshmallows they have at Aldi. I need to swing by there anyway for some more of those damn liquorice bullets.

Dinner was my partners’ version of beef stroganoff and the sugar snap peas that were hiding in the back of the fridge.

Fair play, there’s some pretty decent parkland in the state.

Too true about the desert folk, rock hounds and dirt farmers abound in the family tree. Things get weird quickly.

But… it’s T or C. I’m pretty sure no one lives there voluntarily.

One I’ve heard around a few times is “What if Soy milk is just Spanish milk introducing itself?”

Rice Crackers from Aldi

Sadly, not much home cooking this week. Moving house sucks. Today is all snacky stuff. Fish jerky, rice crackers, chicken flavour jumpys. Side note, kangaroo crackers are far superior to American goldfish crackers.

Cheers, mate. I appreciate it. It’s definitely a bit bittersweet. Being no contact with less than great family helped, but leaving behind a life built and cultivated over the course of 4 decades cut pretty close to the bone.

So, I had to go nuclear and I’ve ended up with only a singular cloud backup of what was a Synology DS 412+.

The backup itself is through the Synology Amazon Glacier app.

I’m looking to ultimately move the data away from both Amazon and Synology.

My question then falls into two parts:

  1. Am I able to extract said archive from Amazon without using the Synology app?

  2. If the above is not possible, am I able to run the Synology os on hardware not from Synology itself?

I do understand the data extraction can end up being pricy even at a mere 12TB. I’m okay with that. That’s the price we’ve accepted for making it easier to move across the world.

So, I’m notoriously bad at exfoliating my face. I’ve never really been a fan of the mechanical scrubs, and I normally have facial stubble. I intermittently use one of the green Korean exfoliating cloths on my nose and forehead.

I’ve been seeing enzymatic exfoliators here and there, and was curious if they’d be worth a try.

Any commentary, recommendations, etc?

A blast from the past.

Cyberdyne Systems, Wayland-Yutani Corporation, Tyrell Corporation, or Arasaka Corporation? Something else?

Gary Numan from 1979. Close enough for government work, yeah?

Was a fun special shape to see.
