Rules:

1. Be civil

Attack the argument, not the person. No racism/sexism/bigotry. Good faith argumentation only. This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban. Do not respond to rule-breaking content; report it and move on.

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.

Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.

3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.

Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.

4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.

Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.

5. Only recent news is allowed.

Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.

6. All posts must be news articles.

No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.

7. No duplicate posts.

If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.

8. Misinformation is prohibited.

Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.

9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.

All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.

10. Don't copy entire article in your post body

For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

Maybe that’s a good reason to stop providing classified intel to an unelected, unconfirmed official who has taken no oath to defend the Constitution of the United States.

And to me it appears like this has nothing to do with social security fraud, unless he's getting 400k checks every month. That's your run of the mill identity theft case.

[–] ryedaft@sh.itjust.works 17 points 11 months ago

Yeah, isn't this a data broker?

[–] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 16 points 11 months ago

Sounds like he should be pursuing Equifax then.🤔

Musk is also a profoundly stupid man with the emotional maturity of an unloved 13 year old boy. He'll do anything to try to fill the void in his heart. Well, anything except be a decent person, I guess.

[–] NotMyOldRedditName@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

I actually feel like the kind of damage Musk presents could actually be healed by therapy, but he would really have to want that change and he doesn't, or can't see it. I'm not sure he ever will either.

A lot of scummy people you get the sense that there's literally no hope for them (which also probably isn't true, everyone has hope, but as little as possible hope)

Who is also thick as pig shit.

[–] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 6 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Pig manure makes for good fertilizer and compost material. I wouldn’t insult it with such a comparison.

[–] masterofn001@lemmy.ca 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Only one way to find out what quality of pig feed / manure / fertilizer he would make.

[–] disguy_ovahea@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

Science demands it!

[–] Eheran@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

Would it be any different if he would be all of those things? Why should it?

Musk claimed knowledge of a suspect accused of stealing 400,000 Social Security numbers, raising concerns from federal officials over breaching investigative confidentiality.

Motherfucker you stole all of America's social security numbers

[–] painfulasterisk1@lemmy.ml 21 points 11 months ago

We all know of a suspect accused of stealing 400,000 SSN. He double illegally gained access to such.

[–] bebebaluuga@lemm.ee 36 points 11 months ago

Every time Musk wakes up safe and alive in the morning is a massive tragedy.

[–] SnotFlickerman@lemmy.blahaj.zone 28 points 11 months ago

Probably on purpose so the investigation is tainted and they suddenly won't be able to prove it... which they probably couldn't have to begin with, and this will be the excuse.

[–] osaerisxero@kbin.melroy.org 24 points 11 months ago (1 children)

It's him, he's the suspect.

[–] expatriado@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago

maybe he never developed mirror self-recognition

"Musk claimed knowledge of a suspect accused of stealing 400,000 social security numbers..."

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 9 points 10 months ago

Lol. This pussy ass country is so susceptible to wealthy people. Like, I get it. Money talks. But giving a fucking unelected immigrant clearance to so much shit that is supposed to require strict security clearances.

We're just giving everything away. We aren't even bargaining. We're just letting people with big numbers in their bank accounts rape us without using any leverage against them at all.

Pathetic country on its way down.

[–] prole@lemmy.blahaj.zone 8 points 10 months ago

It's almost like we shouldn't be sharing this shit with unelected South African billionaires without clearance.

[–] SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml 5 points 11 months ago

The call is coming from INSIDE the house.
