French is what happen when you let an English redesign Spanish (bad).
If anything the franks were dutch (from what IIRC is belgium today), back when there was no difference between "dutch" and "german".
French is a language that is easily read, but when spoken it's just one giant word per statement
Latin but spoken by Germans trying to sound posh
That's what happens when you have a language designed by people who call themselves "The Immortals"
