By the way, which one's Pink?

[–] jagged_circle@feddit.nl 2 points 11 months ago

Have a cigar and an upvote

[–] lost_faith@lemmy.ca -1 points 11 months ago

Watch The Wall, they give you a very insightful look into Pink

Happy this guy did this, but don't forget Roger Waters is a piece of shit and supports Russia in this war. Probably fondling Trump's balls at this very moment.

Yes! I hope Canada becomes the art capital of the world!

Canada should take advantage of this situation to hire US scientists and doctors too.

[–] Mvlad88@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

Reminds me of another place that took in a lot of scientists running away from a Nazi rejime.

Ouai! Projet Trombone! Sera fantastique!!

[–] corsicanguppy@lemmy.ca 1 points 11 months ago

#MyFaceWhen my best 'project paperclip but in Canada' joke falls super flat. Ah well.

American here. I'd love to do the same. My company even has a branch in Toronto that maybe I could transfer to, but I'm under a year in and I don't think they'd allow it currently.

Y'all got rid of the grandfather clause for citizenship, right? My grandmother was born in Newfoundland, wish I could take advantage of that.

Where have you been?

[–] faltryka@lemmy.world 0 points 11 months ago (2 children)

I get it, but also regret that there is one less person voting against evil, assuming that will continue mattering.

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 1 points 11 months ago

One less rich person contributing taxes to evil.

[–] electric_nan@lemmy.ml 0 points 11 months ago

We don't get to vote against evil here.

Ugh. Since when was Pink Floyd political?

Everyone knows that art and politics never mix.

/s obviously

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 3 points 11 months ago (1 children)

Next thing you know, rage against the machine n system of a down are gonna get political too.

[–] refurbishedrefurbisher@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 11 months ago* (last edited 11 months ago) (1 children)

That would be a travesty. As an apolitical person myself, I love punk rock. The lyrics really resonate with me.

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago (1 children)

I hate that you had to go back and add the /s

Yeah, I don't really like that I had to do that either. Figured using specifically Pink Floyd as an example would make the sarcasm obvious.

I remember people arguing against russian people saying that they shouldn't be allowed anywhere outside their country and if they are unhappy with it they should march to the cremlin. I'm gonna guess same goes for americans, right?
