Trillion dollar military with all the latest weapons of war at its disposal, leading all the world's armies and holding the best technologies ..... and it's afraid of holidays.

It's not afraid, it's taking orders from an elected civilian who is the only civilian capable of issuing orders over tenured career military generals with high level college degrees. That elected civilian also happens to be a bigoted piece of spray tanned human shit

I wouldn’t be surprised if Juneteenth isn’t a federal holiday anymore sometime over the next 4 years.

[–] Evotech@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago

4 years? I give it until June

It will probably still be a holiday, but will be rebranded to White Power Day or something.

[Defense Intelligence Agency ordered staff to suspend all activities and events at work relating to Holocaust remembrance]

This reminds me of a flashback scene in Man in the High Castle when Top Nazi guy is still in the American army but they have just surrendered and now he is passing out Nazi armbands to his fellow American soldiers.

Definitely is Democrats at fault. Just make sure you never once consider blaming the knuckle dragging voters

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 17 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Blaming voters is a loser strategy. Voters suck and they have always sucked. So fucking what? Effective politicians are the ones who overcome voter ignorance and apathy. That's the fucking job.

Yes, how dare we blame the mindless sheep, unable to make the most basic observations

[–] knightly@pawb.social 5 points 1 year ago (2 children)

They never had the chance, have you seen what passes for education in this country and how much propaganda gets shoved in our faces 24/7?

Kinda hard to justify blaming the voters when public opinion manipulation is a $500 Billion/year business.

[–] Tinidril@midwest.social 6 points 1 year ago

have you seen what passes for education in this country

Yes, brought to you by 50 years of Democratic failure.

Kinda hard to justify blaming the voters

I couldn't care less if blaming voters is justified. What I care about is that blaming voters is absolutely useless and even counterproductive. Blaming voters is how we get the "coastal elites" bullshit tied to the Democrats.

I am a product of the same system and can see the truth

[–] TacoButtPlug@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 year ago

Yea, I totally get it. I wrote a thing about that. https://sh.itjust.works/post/31943041/16392222
