"I can just see the fake headlines," Trump said. "President Trump is talking about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump."

"But I said, ‘I don't give a damn, I'm gonna say it: We're making a frickin fortune,’" he added.

The US is making such a fortune that its national debt is larger than it has ever been. But Trump only cares for Trump.

[–] Jiral@lemmy.world 19 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

By "US" he means himself of course. L'État c'est moi. He does not have a concept of the US as a state or cares about anything of that kind. Mobsters only care about their own financial interests.

[–] myyass@lemmy.world 14 points 4 hours ago

Trump says he doesn't 'give a damn' ~~about gas prices as US making 'fortune'~~

Fixed the title.

Extorting a fortune from the working class. I can’t wait until an angry mob gives him the Mussolini finale

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 1 points 38 minutes ago

the Mussolini finale

The Gaddafi coda would also be an acceptable outcome.

Here I wish they would sentence every member in Florida and U.S. congress to prison who read the report on Matt Gaetz traffickimg and raping a minor to prison for 20 years no parole. Every one of them is an accessory to raping a child at this point. If any of them voted to support the death penalty those ones should get it.

All of their families should be ashamed of their names for generations.

(Oh and for the record, it was read in U.S. congress, so all of them live in the district of the death penalty, they are the ones who didn't vote it out... They should hope they had the chance to do so, or proposed to get rid of it)

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Most people in the Trump administration and a google number of Congress is probably pedophiles

Disturbing. An AI “ecosystem” is what the fascists say they’re building .

Missing a word there I think:

Trump says he doesn't 'give a damn' about gas prices as US BILLIONAIRES are making a 'fortune'

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 35 points 11 hours ago (3 children)

It baffles me that people see this guy getting increasingly unhinged the farther into his dementia he gets, and they just shrug. Congress could remove him anytime they want too.

[–] Poppa_Mo@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago (1 children)

Yeah it's almost like they don't want to fix anything or hold any of these ghouls accountable at all because they all want their own piece of the money/power shit pie. Weird. Nobody can seem to figure it out. What in the world is going on?

Greed. - And it's such a disgusting disease that raping children is ignored in favor of it.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 1 points 51 minutes ago

Thanks for reminding me...I try not to think about it bcz it's extremely triggering as a survivor of child rape.

[–] FatVegan@leminal.space 6 points 3 hours ago

I listened to an (american) podcast and on the side they talk a lot about pefophiles/guns because it was relevant. The point was always like: man pedophiles shold all just hang on the road, so other pedophiles would be scared. "When i was young my dad told me that they just made pedophiles dissapear." And he was awefully proud of that. There was A LOT of talk about what they would do with a pedophile. Meanwhile they have the most famous pedophile in charge of their country, but not a single mention of that.

[–] ChickenLadyLovesLife@lemmy.world 10 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

His supporters don't see this stuff.

[–] NocturnalMorning@lemmy.world 6 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

They go to his rallies, can't get more in your face real than that. His incoherent ramblings on a stage don't lie.

[–] joeschmoe@lemmy.world 3 points 3 hours ago (2 children)

They still just clap at anything he says. Must be nice, being in a cult and just ignoring or not realizing one's struggles.

But actually, I'd rather be aware of them.

[–] bitjunkie@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago* (last edited 1 hour ago)

MAGA faithful have been walking out due to boredom since his first term, it's just physically impossible to get enough of them in one place at the same time because of all that empty land in the big beautiful map of cows that voted for him

[–] III@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

In their defense, if Trump is as bad as he appears at the rallies they attend that would mean they were wrong, enabled terrible people to do horrible things and are themselves monsters for cheering these people as they raped, stole and lied. So they kind of can't afford to be wrong. Granted, they can't afford anything alse,at this point..both financially and morally bankrupt.

[–] pineapplelover@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

Who is making a fortune? It certainly isn't me

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

You are paying for the people making the fortune

Advisers told me not to say it

is the right "build up" before the punch line.

He's bragged about destroying the world through Iran war with the same brag before. Also adding, that destroying world is good for America because of high US oil production and US doesn't need Straight of Hormuz.

So there's always been a tails we lose, heads we deserved to lose all along, plan for the war.

[–] thecryptickler@reddthat.com 20 points 13 hours ago

He said the loud part loudly.

[–] blastosist@lemmy.zip 16 points 13 hours ago

His presidency is a slow motion car wreck, but we are in the car and he having the time of his life .

[–] Etterra@discuss.online 18 points 15 hours ago

US = stock market = him

He's a piece of shit, he needs to BLER be sent to a farm upstate.

[–] CannonFodder@lemmy.world 23 points 16 hours ago

It's because his usage of 'fake' doesn't mean what one might think. He simply means a headline that he doesn't like.

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 97 points 20 hours ago (17 children)

How can a non-wealthy trump supporter hear this and continue to support him?

He's pissing in your fucking face.

[–] TargaryenTKE@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

They've all eaten their bananas, it's the antidote for piss in your face

[–] Stormy@thelemmy.club 20 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

They don't know he said this.

[–] angband@lemmy.world 15 points 12 hours ago

That's right. The "editorial" for small town papers around here, which are mostly owned by super rich people now is a satire bit about the editor making fun of himself wanting to be king, to try and make fun of the no kings movement. Nothing of actual substance ever enters conservative owned media outside of them making fun of it so their base sadly thinks they are being clever by rejecting opposing views.

[–] Hi_ImAmber@piefed.ca 5 points 10 hours ago

I've heard the saying that they all consider themselves temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 9 hours ago

They like the piss. It's trickle down economics.

Whenever he says America he means "me".

For examle: Me first! or Democrats are the greatest threat to me.
