"I can just see the fake headlines," Trump said. "President Trump is talking about all the money they're making while people are suffering at the pump."

"But I said, ‘I don't give a damn, I'm gonna say it: We're making a frickin fortune,’" he added.

How can a non-wealthy trump supporter hear this and continue to support him?

He's pissing in your fucking face.

[–] warm@kbin.earth 44 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Because as long as he is pissing in minorities faces too, it's acceptable for them.

They are just brainwashed.

[–] GuyFawkesV@lemmy.world 27 points 3 days ago (4 children)

I’m done with “brainwashed”. They’re fuckin morons.

[–] Rothe@piefed.social 8 points 3 days ago

It is important to clarify that they are hateful morons. The "hate"-part is doing a lot of work. You can be a moron and not be a Trump supporter, but it is very rare to see a hateful moron who isn't one.

[–] warm@kbin.earth 3 points 3 days ago (3 children)

They are indeed, but somewhere humanity failed them. You are not born a moron.

[–] athatet@lemmy.zip 14 points 3 days ago

Idk I’ve met babies and they are deffo morons.

[–] Hanrahan@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

citation needed ? people are born with many things eg diabetes, who now go on to survive. You have asserted facts with no evidence.

I used to think a decent education etc would help but I see no evidence of that.

[–] warm@kbin.earth 1 points 2 days ago

Critical thinking needed?

Obviously there's many conditions people can have and some people are better learners than others.

Moron isnt meant literally, we are discussing the red voters who blindly follow Trump, that's the context. People who were born into poor states, into poor families, who didnt get the chance to have good education. They became morons. Obviously babies are fucking morons by the definition of it. Whats with these comments completely ignoring the context????

[–] artyom@piefed.social 3 points 3 days ago (1 children)

You absolutely are born a moron LOL

[–] warm@kbin.earth -4 points 3 days ago

Maybe you are right, I see your critical thinking skills didnt develop.

[–] LittleBorat3@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

I agree there is nothing to wash there. Their mind has been a tabula rasa from the beginning and they will parrot anything.

[–] Stormy@thelemmy.club 24 points 3 days ago (1 children)

They don't know he said this.

[–] angband@lemmy.world 18 points 3 days ago

That's right. The "editorial" for small town papers around here, which are mostly owned by super rich people now is a satire bit about the editor making fun of himself wanting to be king, to try and make fun of the no kings movement. Nothing of actual substance ever enters conservative owned media outside of them making fun of it so their base sadly thinks they are being clever by rejecting opposing views.

Leopards been eatin' good since 2016.

What am I saying. These phat cats been eatin' good since Reagan.

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world -1 points 3 days ago

Leopards been eating good for far longer than that. At least since politics was invented. Probably even before then.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 10 points 3 days ago

It’s quite amazing how dumb these maga people continue to be.

[–] Hi_ImAmber@piefed.ca 5 points 3 days ago

I've heard the saying that they all consider themselves temporarily embarrassed millionaires.

[–] Hanrahan@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago

they're stupid, a stupid person is one that does things to hurt others even if it hurts themselves. Trump's not stupid, his supporters are, as long as he keeps hurting the people they dislike, he can keep pissing and they'll cheer.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 3 days ago

They like the piss. It's trickle down economics.

[–] cyberpunk007@lemmy.ca 4 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Cells. Lack of them to be specific. And brain ones to be more specific.

[–] maxthemummer@lemmus.org 3 points 3 days ago

Of all the cells, the brain ones really are the most important of the cells.

[–] LittleBorat3@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

They love it, also Trump told them it's raining.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 1 points 3 days ago

He calls them stupid and they cheer.

They like it when he pisses in their face

[–] TargaryenTKE@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

They've all eaten their bananas, it's the antidote for piss in your face
