I gave up when aurora stopped working one or two years ago. I just get 99% apps from fdroid. Hence, Google has little power on my device. That's enough for me.

It still works but not that well
sadly i know of none other than aurora store. i usually use aurora, apkmirror and apkpure. do note that apkpure recently had a malicious telegram apk
@hexagonwin @connorx100 Da kann man auch zum jeweiligen Original gehen. Nur weil es apk-Apps sind, sind die nicht besser.
I've tried getting the Aurora Store to work, but to no avail. I may need to source apk files on the apps that need updating.
It still works with me even tho with a lot of problems, it would be great if someone fixed it
I think I saw some activity on the Gitlab project page, so there's that.
Those are good news tho, thanks bud
I don't have a good answer, I recently switched back to the Play Store. Sometimes apps you wouldn't expect are open source and you can update via Obtanium so it doesn't hurt to check.
Sometimes I try to get my app just from any store as apk but the thing is I am always worried if it's not safe or not up to date.
Oh I meant like, an official github repo. I wouldn't ever recommend getting an apk from some random site.
Yeah I am aware of that, just shared my experience
