Seems like a bad plan in light of recent events. Additionally it seems like a pretty obvious political misstep to make this particular cut at this particular time.

Awesome.

Just in time for the recent influx of poisonous food from the US. Awesome.

Looks like Mexico is about to get extra export sales.

Look at his voting records!

He had 43.76% of the vote in the 2025 federal election and has been given 49.27% of the seats thanks undemocratic first-past-the-post!

The conservative liberals will gladly push for the alternative vote and block voting.

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

NDP and Greens also want proportional rep or approval voting

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Neither party push for approval voting.

The NDP wants mixed-member proportional. What New Zealand uses.

The Greens want single transferable vote. What Ireland uses.

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

(well I want approval voting...)

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Any examples of this system in real world practice?

[–] eestileib@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Pretty much every informal organization you've ever been part of. Deciding which hotel to stay at with your family or what restaurant to go to with your friends or who is leading the cheers in a soccer fan section...

I gotta use approval voting to keep cash and paperback books alive then.

This while the U.S has dismantled the FDA and is shipping us toxic garbage.

LPC works for U.S corporations.

The red tories are racing blue dogs and fascist republicans.

Why are you posting an article from January?

[–] TribblesBestFriend@startrek.website 27 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Where you aware of it ? I wasn’t, I’m glad for the post

[–] alsimoneau@lemmy.ca 8 points 2 days ago

The whole public service is getting cut 15%

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago
[–] five_bucks@lemmy.ca 13 points 2 days ago

Dude the public service is getting hammered. Unless you’re CCG

This is a bot. 13654 posts in just under two years, or 19 posts per day average.

[–] TribblesBestFriend@startrek.website 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You mean Sunshine ? Yes some of them post seems automated but they respond sometimes

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sunshine def not a bot. Not sure if she uses some aid for posting news or not.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 5 points 1 day ago

The RSS feed is that aid you’re speaking of.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Why wasn't the article posted before on lemmy?

[–] non_burglar@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

It was, in January and then again in march in c/Canada.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 days ago (1 children)

This article in particular wasn’t shared, you need to have a variety of sources in your news diet and people must be reminded of Mark Carney’s abysmal record.

[–] non_burglar@lemmy.world -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Sure, but why did you post a 10 month-old story? I'm curious why it crossed your feed just recently.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca -1 points 2 days ago (1 children)
[–] non_burglar@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

I don't understand. Why does my asking why you posted a 10 month-old article make me a "liberal"?

Edit: Nevermind, you're obviously a troll. 13,653 posts in just under 2 years... Almost 19 posts per day average.

[–] Levi@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

I think she's single-handedly keeping lemmy.ca alive. :D Its not a bad thing for the rest of us.

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 2 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Some people are addicted to reading the news. Guess you can say I’m like a journalist.

[–] avidamoeba@lemmy.ca 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

I'd wear that label as a badge of honor. 😆

[–] Sunshine@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

Anyone who isn’t a liberal or conservative is a propaganda bot.
