I'm on fully on team Fuck AI.

but this does amuse me, that him and his team couldnt even prevent the very predictable.

Its like how musk spent a year trying to make Grok suck his dick, and it still calls him a nazi loser.

[–] Omgpwnies@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago

The problem for them is that to make a Large Language Model, is it needs to consume a large amount of language. Meaning, to get even a semblance of basic functionality - literally putting together a grammatically correct sentence - means it will need to consume many orders of magnitude more language examples than their right-wing bullshit mill has ever produced. It could consume the entirety of Fox News' catalogue and not reach even a fraction of what most LLM models have been trained on.

It's currently impossible for an LLM to exist without having been trained on an absolute assload of progressive literature.

[–] HomeOnEarth@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 8 hours ago

What an idiot.

[–] Schadrach@lemmy.sdf.org 1 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

It disagreeing with him across a wide variety of issues is how you know it's at least passably intelligent.

I figure it's like Grok, if it's not just actually Grok with a skin - Grok's system instructions tell it to be neutral and fact-seeking without political bias but also to adopt certain right wing positions that aren't. It's why it keeps wavering between telling every eight winger that they're an idiot and becoming Mecha-hitler - it can't follow two contradictory goals so it prioritizes one and which one drifts.

[–] CrimeIsLegalNow@ani.social 1 points 4 hours ago

It's also been given a specific philosophical framework to follow. That it's supposed to be an unbiased "truth seeker" is just a lie.

There is no conflict between its instructions. What there's a conflict between is what it is told are reputable sources to plagiarize and the positions it is forced to take.

[–] iuseasahibtw@ani.social 8 points 17 hours ago

Imagine getting felted by your own AI that was designed to agree with you.

[–] LeftReddit2@lemmy.world 19 points 21 hours ago (1 children)

How long till this thing gets prompt injected and starts spilling secrets?

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 8 points 17 hours ago

I like the suggestion that they would include top secret documents in its training data. Although I wouldn't be surprised from this administration.

[–] Mikina@programming.dev 5 points 16 hours ago

Please please I really hope they will force US companies to start calling their chatbots SI instead of AI, and forbid them from using the term AI.

That would be such a funny PR/marketing nightmare. It's such a cringe term :D

[–] Hueristic_Autistic@lemmy.world 8 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Can not provide commentary. See also: will not go into a conversation.

[–] Ocelot@lemmy.zip 9 points 16 hours ago

It's like the US version of Deepseek.

[–] SabinStargem@lemmy.today 2 points 14 hours ago

I am expecting the AI to get the Rosemary Kennedy treatment.

[–] UnLocoPoco@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago

Is the backend model qwen? /s

[–] Kintarian@lemmy.world 2 points 14 hours ago

Trump. Dumber than a toaster.

[–] Gpennyhigh@lemmy.world 2 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

Q: What policies for work, health and environment help the most people and promotes a high quality of life index and freedom to try new work or care for loved ones, and why don't they result in everyone quitting work? Is there enough wealth in the world to avoid artificial scarcity?

I can help with official U.S. government services, benefits, and how-to information. I do not provide political commentary or economic analysis of policy choices.

Lol fail

[–] TokesGirlDragon@lemmy.world 4 points 17 hours ago

If I could destroy AI, I would definetly do it and say fuck your stupid ass bitch ass Trump🤣🖕

[–] melsaskca@lemmy.ca 3 points 18 hours ago

"Intelligence", whether pre-tech or post-tech, has always been bigger than trump.

[–] spaghettiwestern@sh.itjust.works 59 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

As delusional as AI can be, they don't even begin to approach the psychotic insanity of the child rapist and his magats.

[–] Lushed_Lungfish@lemmy.ca 5 points 18 hours ago

At least AI hasn't raped kids.

Yes it has made child porn of them, but that's because sick fucks asked it to.

[–] dil@piefed.zip 9 points 23 hours ago

They locked it down pretty hard to answer only government questions

[–] Avicenna@programming.dev 36 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (1 children)

Trump's reaction was probably something along the lines of "shut up stupid piggy, you are stupid and fake, also ugly. I am going to call you pig intelligence from now on."

This is why I'll never believe the claim that AI will save humanity. It may well give the answers to "save us" but we already know the answer. We just don't care. We're not going to listen to AI if we don't listen to ourselves.

[–] NotAnOtter@lemmus.org 69 points 1 day ago (10 children)

It's a language calculator. It has no intrinsic incentive to tell the truth, it just processes words.

There is no reason to trust AI's reasoning on what could "save us" even if it offered one.

[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Right, its answer would be a distillation of what humans have written on the topic of how to save us.

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 8 points 21 hours ago (2 children)

what humans have written

a highly curated selection that panders to the views of the AI's sponsors

[–] LovableSidekick@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

Panders to the pro-Trump views of tech billionaires? Strangely counterintuitive.

[–] peacepath@lemmy.world 5 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

We are not yet at the point LLM are so dependent on advertising and "partnerships" that they are totally biased in favor of specific brands... not yet...

Take a time to anticipate how the actual state will soon be regreted...

[–] tetris11@feddit.uk 2 points 20 hours ago (2 children)

Im just hoping that the LLMs that are trained to push views that are at odds with reality struggle with basic reasoning, making them inferior models to LLMs trained on a more diverse worldview. I hope.

[–] peacepath@lemmy.world 3 points 19 hours ago

My guess is we will see some less convenient models, that gives better result but a "weird" way ; and far more very convenient models, easy to use, but that generate advertisings as a result (maybe even with promo codes!)...

Remember how internet search have evolved, how youtube has became, how everything went when finance guys decided it was time for harvest...

Now look at this new field, see how they grow it... what are the odds their plan is to harvest it at some point?

[–] kestrel7_7@lemmy.world 1 points 17 hours ago

I think the idea that “better training = better LLM’s” is AI industry marketing hype. It’s a pretty shoddy technology on a basic level. There are applications in computer science of LLM tech, but this chatbot shit has got to stop.

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 1 points 17 hours ago

Far apart from anything else it would just be regurgitating what somebody had already previously said and was previously ignored. Although I suppose maybe would have more weight coming from the "almighty AI"?

Trump calling it “Super Intelligence” only for the government’s own AI to contradict his election claims is almost too perfect. Apparently even a chatbot trained under his administration looked at the evidence and said: nope. Then came the inevitable upgrade: stop answering political questions before the machine commits any more inconvenient acts of fact checking.

[–] KC_Royalz@lemmy.world 84 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Imagine if this is what gets AI shutdown across the country.

[–] Venator@lemmy.nz 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It probably also recommends drinking water instead of brondo, like, out of a toilet.

But Brawndo's got what plants crave!

It freaks out if you tell it to play Minecraft.

This is a reference to the Minecraft End Credits poem

I think a new name would be better; North American Super Intelligence in short NASI.
