I seem to recall looking up the outputs of various countries a while back and discovering that Belarus doesn't produce enough potash to supply US needs even if they exported their entire production to them.
Yeah but if you have a world renowned deal maker at the table… 😂
Bullshit, Belarus isn't going to supply a damn thing across contested borders and international waters that wouldn't be cheaper from Canada right next door.
Dictators can get deep discounts when it comes to helping carve up traditional western alliances.
They really just need to show that it's "plausible" to the common American that it's an option, and then they can spin that into cutting more trade with Canada and continuing to ramp up their anti-Canada propaganda / destructive influence campaigns (ex. Alberta separatists).
There goes the crybaby, making goods more expensive for Americans.
Now Canada needs to put a 100% export tariff on potash.
