The real enemy isn't the other guy higher up the hierarchy who earns double or triple your salary for his work. It's the guy who doesn't need to work at all because he owns the company you both work for. It used to be one fat fuck in a suit and you knew his face, but now these fuckers are in the stock market and each one owns just a share of each company. And they have learned to not show their faces in public.
Work Reform
A place to discuss positive changes that can make work more equitable, and to vent about current practices. We are NOT against work; we just want the fruits of our labor to be recognized better.
Our Philosophies:
- All workers must be paid a living wage for their labor.
- Income inequality is the main cause of lower living standards.
- Workers must join together and fight back for what is rightfully theirs.
- We must not be divided and conquered. Workers gain the most when they focus on unifying issues.
Our Goals
- Higher wages for underpaid workers.
- Better worker representation, including but not limited to unions.
- Better and fewer working hours.
- Stimulating a massive wave of worker organizing in the United States and beyond.
- Organizing and supporting political causes and campaigns that put workers first.
It's mostly owned by boomers and their pensions and 401ks now. As a class they outweigh billionaires 8 to 1 in terms of wealth though of course billionaires are way more active in their enfuckening of the companies they lead.

I've been big on Unions, but I'm losing my faith. The AFL-CIO just endorsed the local republican candidate for congress over the democrat.
I can't imagine a world where the republican candidate is the better choice. I'm not saying that the dems are great, I remember what Biden did to the rail workers, but Republicans have a long history of union busting
At this point, I kind of wonder if we should just bring back feudalism. At least then I get a house and a patch of land to till, and I only have to give up a portion of it instead of starving while somehow getting fatter because my primary source of calories is processed corn and microplastics :/
That's not what you get under feudalism; the industrialisation of agriculture won't be undone. Look up modern slavery conditions, because that's what you'll actually get.
Kinda what the tech oligarchs want. They want to break countries like the US into little fiefdoms that they own.
Go farther, bring back tribes.
I don't know the history very well but I've wondered how much the demise of the american mafia contributed to this.
If by demise you mean the type of stuff from the movies, that's just because power was consolidated and there's no need for open war anymore.
But if by demise you mean they don't exist or are weaker, this couldn't be further from the truth.
Thinking more 1970s RICO era than Scarface. I know they still exist, but they are well beyond their best years.
