-People CHEERING on the Kidnapping of Children whose Parents are here ALMOST Legally!

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 9 points 1 day ago

When a country has a gestapo and uses state terrorism to suppress opposition... Isn't there a word for that?

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 28 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Administration continues to plan treason and nobody stops them.

If the president says he's going to interfere in the election, he should be immediately impeached and removed from office as soon as possible! Instead everybody says he's just joking and my therapist thinks I shouldn't worry until I know for sure something bad is going to happen

[–] Ozymati@lemmy.nz 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's only treason if it doesn't succeed. If they get away with it, it's patriotic revolution. Just ask Washington, Jefferson, Hancock, etc.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 3 points 1 day ago

It is a fascist takeover

[–] spontaneoushumancombustion@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago (3 children)

[–] 2pNza@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Maybe citizens who got citizenship because they were born in US but they parents were migrants. Maybe they want to take their passports and deport with others (like germans did with german jews before WWII, they basically canceled their citizenships)

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 26 points 2 days ago (1 children)

FEEL FREE TO VOTE FOR WHOMEVER YOU LIKE, CITIZEN.

[–] oopsgodisdeadmybad@lemmy.zip 2 points 1 day ago

I mean, I'm very white, but it still feels like this with all their false positives. Even if they don't actually shoot me, I have a ton of medical issues and will 1000% for6 in their prison.

Still won't vote orange though.

Immigration and custom enforcement in places deep inside the country where only citizens gather.

Right... how stupid do you need to be to still believe this is about immigration?

[–] Loce@lemmy.world 10 points 2 days ago (3 children)

I think its time for citizens to start pushing back against this gestapo bullshit. We outnumber these pussies like 100 to 1

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 11 points 2 days ago (1 children)

2003 was time for citizens to start pushing back against gestapo bullshit. You’ve been allowing them to increase their advantage for a couple decades now.

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 days ago

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago; the second best time is now.

Oh now it's time? 😂

[–] hoppeduponcoffee@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (2 children)

I’m all ears. Where do we start? Who’s organizing a nationwide operation? What time and place? What’s the plan?

Are we prepared to be beaten, imprisoned and killed?

Should I attempt to be a one-man operation?

Will there be snacks and drinks?

Who’s in on this, anyone? We need at least about 5-10 million of us to stand a chance. Are we going to occupy Washington and be prepared to deal with armed struggle? It would be “fun” to Zerg the White House and burn it to the ground. A lot of us will probably get mowed down in the process.

I'm a 6 for tall white male. If anyone gets in front of me before I vote in person, I'm going to fuck up your day. And if you attempt to stop anyone else from voting, I'm gonna spend the same energy. Fuck this Nazi shit.

[–] DaddleDew@lemmy.world 58 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) (2 children)

I've called it a while back. Make a database of people's political affiliation using social media posts and other sources. Have agents sit outside polling places with facial recognition technology that flags anyone on that database that is likely to vote Democrat and detain a number of them until the polling ends then release them without charge. This prevents them from voting and can have a significant impact on the outcome of the elections.

On top of that they're going to have mail in ballots thrown out, further interfering with free and fair elections.

This is coming. Trump knows he will have his ass absolutely handed to him in the mid terms given his well-deserved abysmal approval rating. Better fight back now.

And if the US ever manages to recover from this blatant establishment of a dictatorship, every single one of those who participated at this should be charged at the fullest extent of the law. There is no claiming ignorance of what they're doing. Even floating the idea of sending ICE to arrest people at polling places is a violation. They know damn well that they're rigging the election.

[–] Didntdoit71@feddit.online 30 points 3 days ago (4 children)

They know it, and they know that we know it. They don't care. That's what people aren't seeing straight enough. Trump and the Guardians Of Pedophiles ate blatantly trying to cheat amd telling people how much they're going to cheat. Now, show me one, single US citizen that's done anything concrete to actually stop him. I'll wait. Instead, there will be more protests. Then he'll call the protesters unpatriotic traitors and MAGAts will eat it up. They'll not only cheer for him as he sacrifices our democratic elections, they'll say it was the right thing to do to "save America" from people smarter than them. Which is everyone too intelligent to be a MAGAt.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

They're daring us to try and stop them by force, in order to invoke the exception in the law another commenter cited. They want to pretend that us trying to stop their coup makes us the "armed enemies of the United States" instead of them.

This is the consequence of failing to prosecute Trump for Jan 6.

[–] CileTheSane@lemmy.ca 4 points 2 days ago

there will be more protests

Where people stay in their designated protest areas during the designated protest times in order to not be too much of a bother. Need to make sure they're back to work on time Monday morning for the oligarchs! Oh, and clean up after yourselves before you leave too to make it as easy as possible for everyone to pretend to never happened...

if they really want a fight, theyll get one

[–] Snowies@lemmy.zip 23 points 2 days ago (13 children)

We went to war over black people having humans rights.

What makes them think we won’t go to war over an actual takeover of our country? If they won’t allow us to vote them out peacefully, what do they think we’re gonna do? Roll over and spread our asscheeks?

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 13 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

They've drank their own koolaid and think the kill bots will be ready in time.

[–] rumba@lemmy.zip 10 points 2 days ago

checks all grand playbooks of 2024-now

i'm a bit worried here

I mean... they've been raw dogging you lads for the past couple of years and you've done pretty much that. 🤷‍♂️

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 22 points 2 days ago

Yeah, I mean that seems like the American way lately.

[–] mattyroses@lemmy.today 4 points 2 days ago (4 children)

Been saying for a while - get out or get a rifle.

That said, considering that most liberals think smashing windows makes police murder OK, I do think they're not insane for thinking plenty will roll over and spread. They mean it - and outside the commies, too many Americans who supposedly oppose the GOP fascism don't.

That is what is fair to expect historically speaking, yes. Oppressed groups resist, privileged groups appropriate resistance when it's safe to do so.

Most likely it is going to be a whole lot of "arrest anyone with slightly foreign appearence, ignore their paperwork, let them out in 3 days after enough lawyers get involved and the person has overwhelming evidence they are legal citizens".

[–] mattyroses@lemmy.today 3 points 2 days ago

Yup. Same way the cops break up a protest - you arrest people on nonsense charges, take them in and book them, and by the time you're released the event is over.

And by the time it comes to trial, they dismiss and you take it since the alternative is to fight a battle that will take over your life, and not change that.

Ask me about laws in NYC from the 19th century regarding wearing a mask . . . . .

They don't have to arrest people. Just being there will discourage loads of people from showing up.

Elections are run by states in the constitution. Any federal agents violating that are traitors, and should be treated as such. We are stronger if we just organize.
