So I don't know this figure except I've seen it a couple of times in no particular context and I always thought that it was supposed to be a mouth with 1 tooth, I didn't ever think of it as a nose when seeing it.
I played the original 3 a ton during my childhood and watched a lot pokemon but I always thought it's a mouth

Today a lot of people learned that some always saw a nose, while others have always seen a mouth.
Honestly, this is just like learning that a lot of people stand up to wipe.
I see it, but the curve and angle of the shine keeps shifting it back to a bulbous nose for me
