Honestly yeah, that was it for me. Seeing him get elected this time was really this feeling of "Oh, that's just how it is over there huh?".

The first time I could just believe your voting systems are messed up with the electoral college and all, and the massive push back that happened. Feelings were also optimistic coming off the Obama years.

But now that he's spent the last several years fully mask off, investigated up and down revealing all the crazy things we'd been hearing about him and his cronies were true, and he still gets elected? By majority vote too?? There's no excuses.

The US is actually just like that huh?

But I'm sure anal probing the entire world population would cost them less than running AI on ~~those probes~~ phones.

I agree and so wonder how they can justify dropping so much money on something people don't want, expect for free, and burns through resources like crazy

Not saying you ARE definitely neurodivergent, but difficulty with jokes and sarcasm to the extent you're describing is not neurotypical behavior. Basically, no, the behavior is not normal, it's atypical.

Regarding your longer comment, having rigid, unconventional, self-made rules is another behavior I see in a lot of the neurodivergent individuals I work with. Again, not saying you definitely are neurodivergent, but these are not neurotypical behaviors

Not exactly neurotypical behavior, particularly if it's all the time. Working with the neurodivergent community, difficulty sensing jokes and sarcasm is something I see a lot. Just worked with a child who was pretty distraught with all the April fools jokes going on with their peers and not being able to tell what's real or not

The cover by the band Ripe is absolutely amazing.

What an incredibly polite way of saying "Bitch, we already got military agreements with you wtf you saying, dumbass?"

Well that's scary... But I have also always heard you're not supposed to bathe your dogs for a few days after application. Guess that's one reason why but I imagine anything they rub themselves on might be a problem

I've had the same experience with the topical stuff. In-laws had never tried it, used it on one of their dogs, and ticks were just crawling off and dying within minutes. Was really gross but fascinating at the same time. Crazy that they thought for years all they could do was wash their dogs and pick ticks off.

In my family, Frontline was a regular purchase for our cats.

I was actually thinking of things like Frontline that you put on their skin. The way it was explained to me is it gets absorbed and essentially makes their blood poisonous to many parasites. I know there are oral versions of these medications too but I have no experience with them

This is how topical tick treatments for pets work, no?

If I'm not sharing, I just drop them back into the bucket/bag. If I'm sharing, I'll just eat them.

Recently though a bucket I was sharing had so many unpopped kernels I started worrying for my gut. Had me wondering how everyone else handles this.

So how does everyone handle unpopped kernels?

I can't stop laughing but I also have no friends who read Stormlight to share this with 😭

Nowadays I find a lot of games feel like too much work and/or anxiety when I just want to relax for like, 30 minutes to an hour after a long day. On the other hand, the games specifically designed to help you unwind just feel boring imo.

In the past I've felt like Outer Wilds scratched this itch, cause the whole experience was engaging but generally relaxed. There was a mystery that kept me hooked and the exploration and movement was fun in and of itself. I also felt like Subnautica filled this role since it was very much at my own pace, with anxiety producing portions which could for the most part be avoided or minimized, and also there was a clear objective to fulfill, get off the planet.

So what games do you play when you just wanna relax?
