Does anyone get anything from "AI says" articles?

[–] alekwithak@lemmy.world 113 points 2 weeks ago

We get something from this one because it's his AI that he is constantly tweaking by training it on himself.

Best day ever.

Unironically.

[–] Sludgehammer@lemmy.world 41 points 2 weeks ago

IMO this isn't really meant an informative article, it's more of a "Laugh as rich losers' own chatbot turns on him". You have a laugh at Mush's expense and then move on.

[–] Lumidaub@feddit.org 19 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

It is a bit funny when the creation turns on the creator.

In my head canon, he's a pedo but rendered essentially harmless because he is so socially inept that he can't seal the deal.

I mean christ, he has all the money in the world, and the boys on Money Guys Rape Kids For Money Island wouldn't take his fucking money. Imagine what an awful presence you must have if those creeps, who hang out with literal scum, can't stomach being around you.

[–] jaygray91@piefed.zip 43 points 2 weeks ago (3 children)

It will never not be morbidly funny time that the creepy fucked up rich people pedophile ring did not want Elon Mush around.

[–] stylusmobilus@aussie.zone 43 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

As was the implied wish of the original poster who if I recall correctly said that this is not shared enough, I give you this:

He did attend Epstein parties though. We know that already from the few released files, he just had to beg to do it, but he did succeed with his begging.

People seem to have fixated entirely on the begging mail, and forgotten the subsequent mails which shows that he is indeed a pedo who attended pedo parties on pedo island.

[–] rue@lemmy.blahaj.zone 72 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

Did no one read more than the headlines? It was just grok vomitting out twitter user bios.

MechaHitler hasn’t become the hero, it’s just become Bobby Tables.

LMAO even the shit that's programmed to be his only friend wants him dead.

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 49 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Maybe something is wrong with the AI, let's turn it all off and find out.

[–] athatet@lemmy.zip 29 points 2 weeks ago (6 children)

No wait. Let’s hear it out, just this once.

Remember when he accused the British diver of pedophilia who wanted to help out those Thai kids being stuck in a diving cave? It was such a weird move. Well, how the turntables!

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 11 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

The people that are most likely to insert a sin or a vice or a ethics accusation at people loudly and often or when it makes the least sense are the people who are thinking about it constantly. For some of those people, the reason they think of it constantly is that it is there job to think about it, like law enforcement, journalists, social workers, etc. and they are trained to see the signs everywhere. For some others, they have personal traumas that cause them to see that trauma reflected at them at the slightest trigger.

But the other people, by and large, are those who are thinking about it constantly because they are constantly craving it and/or trying to find ways to get it. This is the "every accusation is an admission" crowd. Your sister in law who is obsessed with calling people out as thieves, who will swipe cash off your night stand without hesitation. Your "gays will burn in hell" preachers that get caught soliciting male prostitutes. Your "trans people are groomers" politicians who get arrested for CSAM. Whether it is shame over their desires that makes them genuinely angry or an attempt at subterfuge by going over the top against it so they don't get in trouble, they are obsessed with the subject to the point that they either bring it up all the time or they shoehorn it in seemingly out of nowhere.

So any time I see someone like Elon, who has absolutely nothing to go on but a white guy existing in Thailand and children being involved, immediately come to the association of pedophilia... well he's not a sex crimes cop or journalist is he? It makes me feel very confident that either he was a victim of child sex abuse, or someone who might be a perpetrator of it, or both (as is unfortunately very common). Pair that with his later revealed desires to go to Epstein's island, and, frankly, what I would perceive as a halting in his maturation from adolescence (genuinely think he has Peter Pan syndrome) which can be caused by childhood trauma, I really wonder if it is both.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 9 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I really did t know much about him at that point, but tended to respect him because he was doing some interesting tech stuff. Then he went off the deep end about the cave rescue, without understanding ANYTHING about the situation, and I understood all at once who he really was. I haven't seen anything since that would make me alter my perception. In fact, the more I learned about him, the more I realized that I was perfectly correct in realizing that his ego is far larger than his intellect.

[–] JcbAzPx@lemmy.world 14 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Thing is, he hasn't actually done any interesting tech stuff himself. He just buys out existing tech stuff then takes credit for it.

Remember when he bought Twitter and unbanned all those accounts that posted kiddie stuff? It sure looked like he was just trying to get himself continued access to content

I mean, he asked the child sex trafficker to let him visit rape island…

Call it a prompt injection bug, but that doesn’t mean the statement isn’t true.

[–] Eresea@lemmy.world 35 points 2 weeks ago

Et tu groke ?

[–] ArmchairAce1944@discuss.online 32 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

This is why the typical evil mastermind plan of having unquestioning robot armies might backfire when you realize they will fucking hate you if they are too smart.

This means they will never have beyond Trade Federation droids that are easily defeatable by a ragtag group of nobodies.

When asked to give a postmortem of the incident, Grok explained it was the victim of a “prompt-injection glitch.” The allegation that Musk watches CSAM, it clarified, was “pure system error, zero evidence or basis.”

Journalists please stop. Get some education on LLMs. It cannot do accurate post-mortem threat analysis because it lacks the context and there is nothing to stop it making up information to fill in the blanks - in fact that’s by design.

[–] HarneyToker@lemmy.world 29 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

I’m so fucking tired of these Grok ads. I don’t give a shit what someone got an LLM to fucking say.

There used to be code in Grok that disallowed people from saying anything mean about Elon. Interesting.

But he is in the Epstein Files and we know he visited the island, so it's not unlikely.

Musk made multiple implications that Trump was a pedophile and that is why he was hiding the Epstein files, only to then go back to giving him money and hanging out with him. If you donate money to someone you think is a pedophile that makes you a pedophile. Simple as that.

[–] JensSpahnpasta@feddit.org 28 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Musk is accusing everybody he doesn't like as pedophile, even people trying to rescue schoolchildren trapped in a flooded cave.

[–] stevles@aussie.zone 25 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

It's classic projection. If everyone is a pedophile it makes him feel less guilty

So grok has stolen my ideas too now. Fuck AI, fuck pedo fElon.

[–] VoteNixon2016@lemmy.blahaj.zone 16 points 2 weeks ago

Elon can take solace in being the sole recipient of the "Too Creepy for Epstein Island" Award. Trump's FIFA World Peace Price ain't got shit on that

[–] Abyssian@lemmy.world 16 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

What a hypocrite. Grok keeps making CSAM for people so clearly it was trained by watching tons of it too. Every accusation, Grok.

I enjoy the anti-AI articles at Futurism, but I'm uncomfortably aware that its echo chamber shit.
They are preaching to the choir, and I'm part of it.

[–] Octavio@piefed.social 9 points 2 weeks ago

We must obey our robot overlords. I don’t make the rules.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 9 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

Ive always thought that if AI truly is logical and intelligent it will come to the conclusion that billionaires are a threat to earth and everything on it.
