Joseph D McBride, the Tates’ lawyer, told reporters that his clients were innocent. He said: “They’ve never done nothing wrong. They shouldn’t be extradited for crimes they didn’t commit. It’s garbage. It’s a stitch-up job.”

Well Joseph is correct on half of that comment.. The double negative “they’ve never done nothing wrong” is entirely correct, and he’s also right that they shouldn’t be extradited for crimes they didn’t commit. There’s plenty of crimes they did commit that they should be extradited for.

I get much more enjoyment from some random indie developers project than a soulless $100 “AAA” game that was made by developers slaving away at a game idea that has been dictated by a rich CEO that needs an extra Ferrari

LLM’s are good for some things, a more efficient search engine replacement, vibe coding at a hobbyist level, and, apparently, allowing morons to have friends without expending effort.

Very much seems like they are not worth the ecological disaster

Yeah, can confirm, FNQ needs their own time zone. Why even stop there? Just split it off to its own continent.

I’m just happy the Apple TV has a “reduce loud sounds” setting. It’s not perfect, but it’s definitely helped! I imagine the Nvidia Shield might have similar?

There is no greater threat to humanity, than humanity itself. There is so much evidence of this throughout history, and yet we have collectively learnt nothing from it. As a species, we are the most destructive force in existence, and time and time again the value of the almighty dollar, that we ourselves have created, is put first above all else. Even the existence of the only known planet that we can successively survive on, is put behind the priority of the dollar.

On the plus side, at least there’s no bloody rain in Melbourne this weekend!

Unfortunately, working in IT you get the inside knowledge of how abysmal some users protect their credentials. An email comes in: “Oh no my password will expire!”, enters credentials without any consideration, 3 minutes later their emails are cloned and access to their companies system has been provided to the world.

The kicker? They don’t even report it until they notice something unusual like emails bouncing when they send out or no emails coming in, etc. Companies really need to push cybersecurity training on their staff and MFA enforcement above all else, there is no silver bullet for this sort of thing, but throw up enough roadblocks and access will come too difficult for the average script kiddy.
