Tomatoes man. You need the fruit cartridge for the sauce.
Comic Strips
Comic Strips is a community for those who love comic stories.
Rules
-
π Be Nice!
- Treat others with respect and dignity. Friendly banter is okay, as long as it is mutual; keyword: friendly.
-
ποΈ Community Standards
- Comics should be a full story, from start to finish, in one post.
- Posts should be safe and enjoyable by the majority of community members, both here on lemmy.world and other instances.
- Any comic that would qualify as raunchy, lewd, or otherwise draw unwanted attention by nosy coworkers, spouses, or family members should be tagged as NSFW.
- Moderators have final say on what and what does not qualify as appropriate. Use common sense, and if need be, err on the side of caution.
-
𧬠Keep it Real
- Comics should be made and posted by real human beans, not by automated means like bots or AI. This is not the community for that sort of thing.
-
π½οΈ Credit Where Credit is Due
- Comics should include the original attribution to the artist(s) involved, and be unmodified. Bonus points if you include a link back to their website. When in doubt, use a reverse image search to try to find the original version. Repeat offenders will have their posts removed, be temporarily banned from posting, or if all else fails, be permanently banned from posting.
- Attributions include, but are not limited to, watermarks, links, or other text or imagery that artists add to their comics to use for identification purposes. If you find a comic without any such markings, it would be a good idea to see if you can find an original version. If one cannot be found, say so and ask the community for help!
-
π Post Formatting
- Post an image, gallery, or link to a specific comic hosted on another site; e.g., the author's website.
- Meta posts about the community should be tagged with [Meta] either at the beginning or the end of the post title.
- When linking to a comic hosted on another site, ensure the link is to the comic itself and not just to the website; e.g.,
β Correct: https://xkcd.com/386/
β Incorrect: https://xkcd.com/
-
π¬ Post Frequency/SPAM
- Each user (regardless of instance) may post up to five (5 π) comics a day. This can be any combination of personal comics you have written yourself, or other author's comics. Any comics exceeding five (5 π) will be removed.
-
π΄ββ οΈ Internationalization (i18n)
- Non-English posts are welcome. Please tag the post title with the original language, and include an English translation in the body of the post; e.g.,
SΓ, por favor [Spanish/EspaΓ±ol]
- Non-English posts are welcome. Please tag the post title with the original language, and include an English translation in the body of the post; e.g.,
-
πΏ Moderation
- We are human, just like most everybody else on Lemmy. If you feel a moderation decision was made in error, you are welcome to reach out to anybody on the moderation team for clarification. Keep in mind that moderation decisions may be final.
- When reporting posts and/or comments, quote which rule is being broken, and why you feel it broke the rules.
Banned Artists
The following artists are banned from the community.
- Jago
- Stonetoss
- GPrime85
It should be noted that when you make reports, it is your responsibility to provide rational reasoning why something should be removed. Saying it simply breaks community rules is not always good enough.
Web Accessibility
Note: This is not a rule, but a helpful suggestion.
When posting images, you should strive to add alt-text for screen readers to use to describe the image you're posting:
Another helpful thing to do is to provide a transcription of the text in your images, as well as brief descriptions of what's going on. (example)

I'm glad somebody understands technology!
Tomato is a fruit.
Intelligence is knowing tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing not to put tomato in a fruit salad.
Charisma is selling a fruit salad with tomatoes as "salsa"
Constitution is eating some after the opened container has been sitting in the fridge for over a month.
Dexterity is dodging when someone throws a tomato at you for telling an unfunny joke at open mic night (and also successfully weaving your tomato plant into a cage or trellis).
Strength is throwing a rotten tomato hard enough to explode on impact.
Intelligence is knowing Pineapple is a fruit. Wisdom is knowing it belongs on pizza.
so is wheat
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fruit
In common language and culinary usage, fruit normally means the seed-associated fleshy structures (or produce) of plants that are typically sweet (or sour) and edible in the raw state, such as apples, bananas, grapes, lemons, oranges, and strawberries. In botanical usage, the term fruit includes many structures that are not commonly called as such in everyday language, such as nuts, bean pods, corn kernels, tomatoes, and wheat grains.
These are strange times for Fruit club. Strange times...
Scientifically, yes. Culinarily, no
The joke would have worked just fine had it said "Refill Octopus Cartridge" or literally any of a thousand other food options.
I didn't know HP made 3D printers.
It uses lemons for invisible ink used to embed its own serial code in case you try illegally printing truffles or something.
For a pizza?!
Uh, yeah? Tomato is a fruit.
This is why pineapple haters have always been a mystery to me, replace one sweet, acidic fruit with another sweet, acidic fruit? Yeah, why not?
It would be weird if they replaced the tomato for pineapple. That would be one extremely sweet and tart sauce. I'd still try it, but I don't have high hopes.
Need the fruit cartridge for the tomatoes
No, it's used for leaving the ID of the printer, just in case you will use it to print cheese pizza or cheese salsa aubergine macaroni.
Lol, it's that being mad at the printer for being low on magenta joke but they replaced the printer with a hypothetical food 3d printer! The premise doesn't even make sense because tomatoes are fruits. Hahahaha
If you think about it any food that is extruded could be 3d printed
Where's my 3d pasta printer. Where's my bronze nozzle.
Mmmm dodecahedron ravioli, just like brother used to make!
... If HP made 3D printers ...
Oh wait, they do.
Well duh, the printer was out of Pineapple
you wouldn't download a pepperoni pizza
"How can that be empty? I never even use it!"
You must eat fruit at least every two weeks, or else the slime will solidify and damage the cartridge empty sensor.
That's obviously wrong, we all know pizza is a vegetable
https://archive.nytimes.com/well.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/11/15/at-schools-making-pizza-a-vegetable/
Color printers probably did this to hide that they were fingerprinting your pages.
As someone who has hating doing IT support for printers for the last 18 years.. This hurts me a little bit mentally.
I'm sure there's some other comic in the same aspect that involves Microsoft Excel that I have hated since 2003... (When I was doing a year 9 highschool assignment)
You wouldn't download a pizza
Even if he finds it, that print is going to fail half way through. He is going to be eating half a pizza and half pizza flavored spaghetti.
That's whatcha get for buying a bamboo printer.
You'd think it's a first world problem, but as people grew to rely on it, conventional food shops and restaurants dwindled, and now for many people this is their only reliable food source. Well, "reliable". Smh.
