Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Rule 7- You can't harass or disturb other members.

Reddit is compromised. Another billionaire tool that makes money off the marks.

Just hold the election. If McConnell shows up with the ability to do his job, he can have it back.

[–] Davel23@fedia.io 44 points 1 month ago (2 children)

It's not about an election. If McConnell vacates the seat before some time in August (I'm not sure the exact day) the Governor of Kentucky (who is a Democrat) can appoint a new Senator. Obviously Republicans don't want this.

so August 4th they'll announce he's dead. the funeral will be interesting to say the least. that body is probably a popiscle full of god knows what chemicals to prevent decomposing or he's already buried.

For those to whom the order of numbers makes a difference: 2026 August 3

They changed Kentucky law in 2024. Now the Governor must call for a special election to fill a vacant Senate seat.

they did to ensure Beshear , being a dem cant use his full gov powers to better the state. and him being a GOV of kentucky isnt by accident either. the previous GOV was a republican and he almost ruined the state ecnomically, so they needed a DEM to stall the collapse, or reverse the downturn, also as a way to blame the Dem in charge.

[–] Serinus@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Kentucky law doesn't override Kentucky Constitution.

[–] Todd_cross@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

I'm not familiar with KY's Constitution. Does it say the Governor will appoint the US Senator in a vacancy?

EDIT: I found where there is some argument for the Governor having the authority to appoint a state officer in a vacancy. It'd be up to the courts, I guess.

All of Reddit is compromised. I remember getting permanently banned from WhitePeopeTwitter for calling out Biden's age during his second election. It's one big echo chamber for Democrats or Republicans depending on what sub you're on. Reddit is absolute censored trash and it has been for years now. Hence why I said fuck it. Deleted my account and now I'm here.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 2 points 1 month ago

i almost never get censured on whitepeopletwitter, they are probably lenient on some things. but if you go to other subs, like r tech, politics, news,,,,etc you will get banned much more easily. and then the wierd newer "News subs"

[–] MaximilianKohler@lemmy.world 34 points 1 month ago (2 children)

Most subs on reddit are compromised. As is the platform itself. People still using reddit are wilfully ignorant and/or lacking integrity and intelligence.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

also the significant amount of AI posts being allowed on reddit is staggering in certain subs. damninstering, natureislit, interestingfuck, natureismetal, some meme subs. reposted like several times within a few months is pretty much indicative of spamming or AI posts.

I am using reddit for the "plot"

[–] theuniqueone@lemmy.dbzer0.com 28 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Reddit in general is comprised as long as its corporate owned.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 2 points 1 month ago

it is mostly bots.

[–] Varpeggio@lemmy.zip 28 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago) (3 children)

All of Reddit is compromised. At this point, anti-Zionism is a bannable offense. I’ve been banned twice for “hate speech”.

[–] KatakiY@lemmy.world 9 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Lol yeah I got banned because I quoted a Zionist and replaced "Palestinians" with "Israelis".

[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago

Feel free to call for the genocide and mass murder of Muslims on Reddit though that will never get you banned

[–] KC_Royalz@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

It's unbelievable how far reddit has fallen. From 2010 to about 2016. It was the website I visited the most. There were very useful and knowledgeable posts there. It was considered a left leaning website.

Then a ban Then another ban. Few more finally permabanned and anything I create even on new hardware on a new ip was auto banned on the first post.

I gave up. I refuse to click reddit links anymore. Uninstalled the app. I wish I could remember the passwords to my old accounts because I would nuke my entire post history

I don't know how a company survives by nuking it's user base who made it. And I'm far from the only person who's been permabanned. Some entire communities user base has been wiped out.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

more than half is mostly bots, its basically a dead internet theory come to fruition.

[–] velma@sh.itjust.works 27 points 1 month ago

Always has been.

[–] Signtist@bookwyr.me 25 points 1 month ago (1 children)

You can't have a progressive space on a non-progressive platform. At best it gets removed, at worst it gets to stick around specifically so that it can be censored like this, tricking the people who rely on that community for their info into thinking they're fully informed when they're really only getting what information the platform deems benign enough to allow them to see.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 3 points 1 month ago

its heavily astroturfed, because it also allows right propaganda /bots.

[–] BeardededSquidward@lemmy.blahaj.zone 20 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Reddit is ran by a literal Nazi, don't use it.

[–] forkDestroyer@infosec.pub 4 points 1 month ago (2 children)
[–] IndustryStandard@lemmy.world 7 points 1 month ago

A Zionist so even worse.

[–] DudeWhoYapsTooMuch@lemmy.world 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Spez is pretty much a conservative so yeah

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 3 points 1 month ago

he loves the next nazi, MUSK, he bans at musks every whim.

[–] MrOtingocni@lemmy.world 15 points 1 month ago

I think the original founder of 50501 was strong-armed out by a "professional" group of protesters. That's pretty sus in itself.

[–] GeneralEmergency@lemmy.world 14 points 1 month ago

Because that's not what the sub is for?

[–] KairuByte@lemmy.dbzer0.com 14 points 1 month ago

Tbh I’d hold off on the pitchforks before checking that the thing a random person on the internet said was true. For all we know this was a duplicate post.

I mean, I’m not going to check because I can’t use old Reddit anymore, but still.

[–] Reygle@lemmy.world 13 points 1 month ago
[–] sp3ctr4l@lemmy.dbzer0.com 12 points 1 month ago (1 children)

The Zionist turbolibs are beginning to panic.

[–] cmbabul@slrpnk.net 6 points 1 month ago

All the liberals not leftists seem to either be panicking or shifting rightward

[–] dangling_cat@piefed.blahaj.zone 9 points 1 month ago

You can’t fight a fight on their own turf, where they control what you see and who can see you.

[–] MrSelfDestruct@piefed.zip 7 points 1 month ago (1 children)

5051 have been comprised for a while.

[–] OwOarchist@pawb.social 3 points 1 month ago

reddit will not allow a non-compromised sub to exist.

[–] Trampampoline@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 month ago* (last edited 1 month ago)

There's one type of leftist, the one that left reddit. Everyone still there is either slow to action or larping.
