Funny how everyone is screaming about Eurocentrism, nazism, and imperialism—as if most rich countries aren't imperialistic. WWII ended nearly 81 years ago and Germany isn't even the culprit for modern-day fascism.

I'm not sure if I'd equate the two downvoted comment threads.

I've found grte's presence on Lemmy to be generally positive, and while I don't know enough about the contents of the argument to weigh in, the comment chain feels like pretty standard political discussion. I got to learn more about the differences between the german and korean subs, and what the prime minister might (or might not) be prioritizing.

Meanwhile, the other comment is flippant and unproductive

Modern German diesel-electrics are world class. I wanted to be a submariner years ago.
