Definitely not written by Trump

[–] 14th_cylon@lemmy.zip 99 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

Too long and coherent sentences, knowledge of history, no caps lock, no thanking for reader's attention to this matter. Definitely not him.

The long —s might indicate the slop machine.

I like how the amphifa joke completely went over his head, so he just skipped commenting on it.

[–] huppakee@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

— is much easier to write on mac and mobile, it might indicate ai sure; but all it really says is that it was very unlikely written on a pc.

[–] terranoid@lemmy.cafe 15 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

Do you think Sir Hamberder learned how to write professionally overnight?

Everyone claims it's proper grammar... But it's funny how suddenly so many people use proper grammar in their social media posts. I especially don't think Captain Dementia Kidfucker uses proper grammar.

[–] takeda@lemmy.dbzer0.com 5 points 2 weeks ago

It looks to me like he loaded the picture to Google images or chat gpt or whatever then what is here 2nd sentence onward is what it printed out and he copied and pasted it.

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 1 points 2 weeks ago

What are you talking about on a phone the standard symbol is the hyphen - in order to get an em dash — I have to press and hold and slide to the left. If you were typing it out you would just use the hyphen

[–] FinalRemix@lemmy.world 0 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Alt+0151... it's east as hell to write that on PC.

[–] Hawke@lemmy.world 1 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

“Compose, - - -“ … it’s easy as hell to write that on PC.

(Most people do not have the Windows key map codes memorized)

[–] FinalRemix@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Literally the only one I have memorized because I use it. It's just that it's not hard to use it, and isn't indicative of platform being used.

[–] Hawke@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

The difficulty varies from platform to platform, and it’s much more likely to be used where it is easier.

Either way there’s zero chance that Trump did it.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 0 points 2 weeks ago

Oh yea just memorize this random 4 digit number that you don’t even know what to search for to look up. So easy.

[–] 0ops@piefed.zip 22 points 2 weeks ago

It's totally ai, at least from the second sentence on

[–] atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

I’m guessing he wrote the first sentence and the rest is what Gemini or whatever told him about the picture copied and pasted.

[–] Lumidaub@feddit.org 62 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

So I went to https://www.trumpstruth.org/, scrolled for quite a bit, eventually thinking "yeah, he didn't post that, thank g- OH FUCK". Turns out, he did.

Thank you, gramps, for explaining the joke.

[–] deacon@lemmy.world 61 points 2 weeks ago (4 children)

Not for nothing, but if Trump is accusing the left of using paid actors, my immediate thought is to recall that every accusation is a confession with this piece of shit.

It’s not like he’s got facts, or even any kind of imagination, to draw on when he’s squeezing out these truths. All he can do is draw on whatever dastardly shit he can remember doing in a similar situation at some point.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 16 points 2 weeks ago

Oh, yeah, he does ALL the shit he accused the Dems if doing. He once criticized a protest because there were printed signs, and he was hollering about how that was proof that they were Soros-paid organizers.

Look at any Trump rally, and see all the identical signs in the crowd behind him. That's perfectly acceptable. But the first time someone runs off $100 worth of signs out of their own pocket, and passes them out at a demonstration, it's a giant Leftist conspiracy!

[–] kryptonianCodeMonkey@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

I mean, he's actively planning to pay out his Jan 6 protestors as we speak. Ostensibly as "reparations" for their "unjust" persecution. But also so they'll show up to do it again when the time comes, as well as any other shameless grifters willing to sell out democracy for a payday. And that's just a case that's entirely out in the open.

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 2 points 2 weeks ago

I've seen Craigslist ads advertising paying people to go to his rallies

[–] RaphaelSchmitz@feddit.org 2 points 2 weeks ago

You know, ironically... With just a little mental gymnastics around opportunity costs...

Most people would be paid with a better life (including literally more money) if anti-republican measures would succeed.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 32 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

In case anyone didn't know who was on that list first:

First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist

Then they came for the Socialists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Socialist

Then they came for the trade unionists And I did not speak out Because I was not a trade unionist

Then they came for the Jews

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_They_Came

The first two have been used as insults by Republicans for decades now...

Edit:

Technically this is the original translation, written by a Christian Pastor:

When the Nazis came for the communists, I kept quiet; I wasn't a communist.

When they came for the trade unionists, I kept quiet; I wasn't a trade unionist.

When they locked up the social democrats, I kept quiet; I wasn't a social democrat.

When they locked up the Jews, I kept quiet; I wasn't a Jew.

When they came for me, there was no one left to protest.

[–] Reygle@lemmy.world 31 points 2 weeks ago

So dumb he doesn't realize he did exactly what they wanted

[–] Sharkticon@lemmy.zip 24 points 2 weeks ago

A chatbot wrote that.

[–] magnetosphere@fedia.io 22 points 2 weeks ago

Um, that’s actually pretty funny. No wonder Mango Mussolini doesn’t like it.

[–] gnutrino@programming.dev 18 points 2 weeks ago

First they came for the Amphifa frogs and I did not speak out.. Because I was struck dumb by how stupid it all was.

[–] tlekiteki@lemmy.dbzer0.com 16 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)

Not typical Trump punctuation

[–] Lumidaub@feddit.org 24 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

He asked an LLM to explain it to him and is sharing his new-found wisdom verbatim.

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 2 points 2 weeks ago

And the AI successfully managed to miss the actual joke.

[–] SCmSTR@lemmy.blahaj.zone 16 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago) (1 children)

I read the entire post, and the thing that made me want to punch somebody in the mouth the most was "retruths".

Like the cherry on the dumb-fucking-Nazis cake

[–] huppakee@lemmy.world 2 points 2 weeks ago

Never saw that in my life, thanks for ruining my day /s

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 14 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Yeah, no, trump did not write this. As fucked up as this is, it always is, this is at least cohesive. Trump doesn't do cohesive, he doesn't know how

[–] echodot@feddit.uk 4 points 2 weeks ago

There's no way Trump knows that quote.

[–] MrMcGasion@lemmy.world 3 points 2 weeks ago

The explaination for the sign reads like an LLM. The first sentence might be Trump.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago (1 children)
[–] pineapplelover@lemmy.dbzer0.com 2 points 2 weeks ago

Most people don't know that "jenius" has a "j" in it, not me though, I'm smart.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 12 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

"And that was another history lesson from Professor Donald J. Pedophile. Like and Subscribe, and have your little sister call me."

[–] fisch@lemmy.world 12 points 2 weeks ago* (last edited 2 weeks ago)

pro-algae protestor

If you told me this was on your 2026 bingo card, I'd call you a filthy liar.

[–] Captainautism@lemmy.dbzer0.com 11 points 2 weeks ago

😂😂😂

[–] lugal@sopuli.xyz 7 points 2 weeks ago

That's a very short version of Niemöller's text. The original doesn't even include Jews because it was written even before the Reichtsprogromnacht. The text is called "Schuldgeständnis" (confession of guilt) because it really is autobiographical. Later in life, he was part of the peace movement but he stayed a homophob all his life. Enough fun facts for now.

[–] SailorMoss@sh.itjust.works 7 points 2 weeks ago

Reject Modernity!! Return to Algae!!

[–] aggelalex@lemmy.world 4 points 2 weeks ago

"THEY TURNED THE FREAKING FROGS GAY" 🤣😂

[–] spacehulk@lemmy.zip 3 points 2 weeks ago (2 children)

Trump wouldn't have posted this pic and mentioned payment unless it was him who hired the guy to do this.

[–] ParlimentOfDoom@piefed.zip 10 points 2 weeks ago

He constantly accused other people of being paid protestors...because he routinely pays people to come support his stuff. Or promises to pay, then stiffs. It's projection. He does it all the time.

Why would he hire someone to call more attention to his failures?

[–] mushroommunk@lemmy.today 8 points 2 weeks ago

What? Trying to discredit protestors by claiming they're all paid by Soros is like his go to thing. Others in this thread have verified he posted it.
