A timely reminder to the government that while it's not as exciting as jetting around the world kibitzing with your G7 friends about the latest wars, running the post office is still your job. Get on with it.

How refreshing to hear honest arguments for a change.

The gov't should absolutely have cut them a cheque when they forbade them from modernizing their operations back when Trudeau was first in power. If they're short on cash and want to restructure to reduce costs, then preventing them from doing that should also cover the difference.

The days of postal deliver door to door are over. It's not worked for years. A new model is way overdue.

I received my letters at my door for years, what do you mean It hasn't worked?

It does work well, letter gets sent to me and ends up in my mailbox.

I think they mean the net profit isn't as high as they'd like it to be. Which it shouldn't need to be since it's a government service.

Personally, I think a better option than stopping home delivery (as is happening) would be to reduce the number of delivery days per week.
