Fuck. That. No website is worth that.
Ppl say this with such conviction but what about your bank website? What if it becomes industry standard and you have no other options? Just going to keep all your money in cash?
I have a hard time believing all banks, including local credit unions, will simultaneously adopt this tech. And if they all do, maybe will I have to consider cash after all. But in the meantime, I'll switch to a banking solution that doesn't.

I have never seen a captcha (much less a third-party service one) on my bank website. And the day I do is the day I walk into a branch and demand all my accounts be closed on the spot so I can take my business somewhere else. I understand the fear, but if the fear comes true, then this is a hill worth dying on. Be prepared to fight. We have to fight.

The tech giant says the system only analyzes hand-movement points from a short video, does not record audio, and deletes the footage after verification.
It's just a short video guys, there's even no audio! And they pinky promise to delete it.
What a fucking shitshow that is. Like, honestly, I'm fine with regular captchas, even if they are the shitty ones. The newer (?) captchas that force you to do solve 5 bullshit "place this there" captchas are already reason enough for me to just leave the site. But if you force me to record a video of me throwing gang signs at the camera, probably several times again, because the movement was not correctly identified, I'm sure as fuck to never visit anything related to you ever again.
I also love the irony that Google fights ~~people~~ bots, while they are scraping the whole internet and investing into AI automation massively.

Not to mention grotesquely invasive.

These companies that feel entitled to our data have long ago lost the benefit of the doubt. You make money off of my personal information, you have also proved time and again you don't always obtain consent before collecting it, (not even buried in some EULA or disclosure) so no, I will not record myself and upload it to you...

I now mess around with all captchas. Each time a site asks me to find x or click on y. I purposely click the wrong ones to help feed the algorithm!

I don't care what site it is but if i get that popup i won't be visiting that site anymore.
This is the biggest "hell no" thing I'll probably see this week.
When this can be faked in the near future, they'll be asking for ass thermometers and anus gestures.
