Politician called "far-left".

Expectation: Installation of an egomaniac dictator, which will lead to cult of personality, crackdown on speech and expression based on said dictator's feelings, and installing loyalist to key positions.

Reality: Bare minimum policies.

I'd love it if she won. I can't think of a faster way to ensure that MAGA shitstain Tom Tiffany is the next governor of Wisconsin than for her to win the nomination, though. WI isn't California or New York, even if it is all bullshit there is just too much red meat for the MAGAt puppetmasters to seize upon to vilify her and whip the dullards up into a blood frenzy, even if it is in their own's heads.

[–] uriel238@lemmy.blahaj.zone 6 points 7 hours ago

They did this exact thing to AOC's Green New Deal when she introduced it, and I couldn't comprehend how people could read it as a bad thing (at least those who weren't top 1%ers wanting to evade taxes).

Who looks at that and doesn't want that? The people who own FOX ok gotcha.

You know, this guy ^

[–] ShotDonkey@lemmy.world 10 points 13 hours ago

Thanks for the advertisment, FOX News!

[–] GoofSchmoofer@lemmy.world 7 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

"BUT how would be pay for all of that ???" Which, not surprisingly, doesn't ever get asked when the DOD's budget gets increased annually.

[–] OldChicoAle@lemmy.world 2 points 7 hours ago

Or some dumb cage that gets built behind the white house, which itself is a mess

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 6 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

Never heard of Fransesca Hong before. Not sure what office she's running for, but I hope she wins!

[–] thethunderwolf@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

it says there, wisconsin governor

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Welp. So it does.

Google: Can I have dimentia at age 42?

Totally missed that.

[–] switcheroo@lemmy.world 9 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Fox tells them it's bad, they're brainwashed into thinking everything fox tells them is truth. A normal functioning brain would see how those policies would benefit society...

(Fox needs to have a disclaimer on all their bullshit that says they are legally required to say this is opinion and not news, as well as quoting their lawyer when he said something like "no one actually believes any of this")

[–] masterbaexunn@lemmy.world 5 points 14 hours ago

Bold of you to assume they have brains

[–] sturmblast@lemmy.world 27 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

Radical left now just means "anybody"

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 19 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

When you are so far right, everyone is far left.

[–] infinitesunrise@slrpnk.net 11 points 17 hours ago* (last edited 17 hours ago)

That said, US politics is so bad that this platform is legitimately further left than like 95% of electeds. If this candidate is a Democrat it's likely that her own party will favor a candidate to her right in primary and if she beats them, possibly still not throw their weight behind her in the general.

Remember that the leader of the Democratic party is basically a domestic spokesperson for Israel and refuses to acknowledge support the most popular politician in his own party.

[–] Hadriscus@jlai.lu 29 points 18 hours ago (1 children)

I'm not sure it's even possible to frame this list in a bad light? those are all unambiguously excellent things

[–] scutiger@lemmy.world 8 points 16 hours ago (3 children)

$20 an hour minimum wage is garbage, it should be much higher.

[–] ZILtoid1991@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

It still can be sold as a bad thing to those who think like iT's BetTEr tO hAvE a BaD jOB thAN NO jOb.

[–] orlyowl@piefed.ca 5 points 13 hours ago

It's an excellent step up from 7.50 though.

[–] PalmTreeIsBestTree@lemmy.world 4 points 14 hours ago

25 should be bare minimum these days. Most people should be making at least 30+.

[–] DarkFuture@lemmy.world 16 points 16 hours ago (2 children)

Conservative voters have been trained to dislike things that are good for them. That's why many Republican controlled areas of this country are almost indistinguishable from 3rd world countries.

[–] VoodooMischief@lemmy.ca 5 points 14 hours ago

The really sinister part is seeing that even some “liberal” Americans have the seeds of conservatism planted in their viewpoints. These are the centrists that tend to say one thing but act out a different way. The brainwashing is deep.

[–] Raiderkev@lemmy.world 3 points 14 hours ago

We can't raise the minimum wage! Think of the poor shareholders at Walmart paying my salary! They can't afford $2 more an hour AND a summer home in the Hamptons. Fuckin libtard

[–] Treczoks@lemmy.world 27 points 20 hours ago

She could not get better advertising.

[–] vracker@reddthat.com 10 points 17 hours ago (1 children)

Next they condemn public restrooms.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 5 points 13 hours ago

I condemn the people that use the public restroom before me.

I'd really like to know how there is a shit stain on the ceiling. It's as impressive as it is gross.

[–] SethTaylor@lemmy.world 22 points 20 hours ago (6 children)

And literally none of that is far-left, of course

If they don't want social programs then they need to pay enough that we can buy those things. But they don't want that either. Sooooo...they just want us to not consume resources and die?

[–] SpacetimeMachine@lemmy.world 3 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Literally yes, that's exactly what they want

[–] minorkeys@sh.itjust.works 3 points 13 hours ago

So genocide. Do we not have a right to defend our lives, then? If not, why support this system of rules at all?

[–] OpenPassageways@lemmy.zip 31 points 22 hours ago (1 children)

Stop describing it as a "tax hike"... we want to restore fair taxation after decades of irresponsible tax breaks.

It doesn't matter, The people who watch Focks Nooz wouldn't vote for a non-red candidate even if the red candidate said they will literally come and burn down your house if you vote for them.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 3 points 14 hours ago

The only two items that could even possibly be a negative to certain people are the last two. And only to rich fucks who also might wanna build data centers.

[–] notabot@piefed.social 53 points 1 day ago (2 children)

I'm beginning to wonder if someone more left leaning has infiltrated fox. The boss say "put together a hit piece on the demonrat", "sure thing boss" says our mole, before turning over this graphic. To the boss it look great, surely no one could support this! To everyone less poisoned, it looks a lot more enticing.

[–] 5765313496@lemmy.world 4 points 16 hours ago

Yes! I've been thinking the same thing. This was posted yesterday, and the lurker part of my brain said "surely someone else has already had this idea". So I checked all the comments, but it wasn't there. Then the lurker said "they'll say it soon, and in better words". And it was right!

Anyway, thanks!

[–] zurohki@aussie.zone 35 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's always funny when Fox puts up radical left wing policies like taxing billionaires and supporting families and then have to scramble to take them down because even Fox viewers read them and think they sound like a good idea.

none of that is bad no matter how you frame it

[–] FlashMobOfOne@lemmy.world 24 points 23 hours ago

This is strong 'Don't threaten me with a good time' energy.

[–] MrJameGumb@lemmy.world 163 points 1 day ago (3 children)

This is just a list of reasons why you should vote for her

I wonder what they would say if a candidate proposed the elimination of money.
