Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Why Ireland? (www.independent.co.uk)
submitted 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) by Apepollo11@lemmy.world to c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

Donald Trump has been posting images again.

One of them shows him attacking the Earth from space with lasers. Two places are being blown up, the clearest of which is Ireland (the second might be Bulgaria).

Donald Trump attacks the Earth from space.

I'm British, so not totally up on US politics, but it surprised me that he was attacking Ireland.

I appreciate that he sometimes posts weird stuff, but it usually seems to be related to something. Attacking Ireland from space for no reason seems random even for him, so I'm guessing it's related to something.

So, please can someone with more insight explain why he'd blow up Ireland?

That's Spain in the top right too?

I'm guessing he didn't know where any of those countries are, and just asked for a picture of Europe being blown up

The dumb part to all this is how we are all talking about this idiot like it's completely normal.

Any other leader, any other American leader at any other time and this would have been considered absolutely idiotic ... but attributing this to this orange clown somehow makes it acceptable and normalized.

The dumb one is not Trump ... the dumb ones are all of us talking about him as a normal part of our world.

☝️

His approval rating is at an ALL TIME LOW again.

Of 37%.

More than 1/3 of America is out of touch with reality and likely with their own humanity. How this dude isn't seen by almost everyone as old, out of his gourd and covered in spray tan... 🤷

Take my stupid angry upvote

Pretty sure the map could’ve been of Florida, and he wouldn’t have known any better.

Random crap from a generative AI, I don't think you should burn brain cells on that thing.

The prompt probably included "destroy Iran" and whichever model they used was like gotcha, destroying Ireland it is.

[–] P00ptart@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago

Just wait till that AI is actually in control of missiles.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 3 points 3 hours ago

Hes in space. I assume he is laying waste to the face of the planet including the us. Its just his way.

Speech-to-text AI prompt, with someone slurring "Iran"?

[–] Sanctus@anarchist.nexus 23 points 6 hours ago (3 children)

He probably typed Ireland instead of Iran into the prompt. I mean this image is whack GPT 4-esque shit with the details.

[–] FinjaminPoach@lemmy.world 10 points 5 hours ago

And Ukraine - he typed in UK and it autocorrected

What did king Charles say to him to get him all like that?

It's because there's an Iran hiding in Ireland.

[–] Apepollo11@lemmy.world 6 points 6 hours ago

You know, this makes total sense.

I was searching online trying to work out what Ireland had done, but a typo explains everything.

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 6 points 4 hours ago

Pfft, like Bibi would let Trump shoot the Jewish Space Lasers. He wishes.

[–] ThePowerOfGeek@lemmy.world 4 points 4 hours ago

Might have something to do with Ireland repeatedly protesting what Israel is doing in Gaza and the West Bank. And we all know who is pulling the strings on Trump (aside from Putin).

Netanyahu: "Ireland is being mean to us! Do something!"

Trump: incomprehensible AI slop exhibiting hostility towards Ireland

[–] Pat_Riot@lemmy.today 3 points 4 hours ago

Maybe he was really looking forward to hearing their Eurovision entry and is angry that there wasn't one

[–] FinjaminPoach@lemmy.world 5 points 5 hours ago

See if Ukraine wasn't highlighted as well I'd chalk it up to a coincidence. Since Ukraine seems to be getting lazer'd, I presume Ireland is getting lazer'd for opposing Israel, and Ukraine for "taking too long to surrender to Russia" which obviously diverts interest and resources away from Israel versus Iran.

If Ockham's Razor points to the simplest possible reason of anything to be the most likely one, Drumpf's Razor, which I have just made up, holds that the dumbest possible explanation is probably true when the incumbent US head of state is involved. These are posts by an undereducated narcissist; the choice of targets is at best accidental.
