Can we stop talking about this nobody?

I agree with him, but I'd also agree with my neighbor who probably does something more important than market themselves

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

The finding out stage.

Just what the fuck did all these assholes think they were supporting?

They are so worried about posturing as being masculine, I guess.

[–] nocturne@slrpnk.net 154 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Fuck you Joe, this is what you tricked people into voting for.

[–] angryred67@piefed.social 2 points 6 hours ago

soon as someone informs him he's too old for the draft he'll move on to his next incorrectly appraised outrage

[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 12 points 1 day ago (3 children)

Don't remove people's agency. Joe isn't some evil mastermind he's just a meathead with a microphone. All those people chose to listen to him of their own free will.

[–] Smoogs@lemmy.world 4 points 19 hours ago

Influencers need no advocats

[–] criss_cross@lemmy.world 58 points 1 day ago (1 children)

You can both hate the meat microphone for echoing support and hate the meat sheep for following instructions.

You're right. I do hate everyone.

Joe isn't some evil mastermind he's just a meathead with a microphone. All those people chose to listen to him of their own free will.

Don't remove Joe's either. He's in a situation of his own making.

He chose to be a dumbass meathead who promoted every dumbass grifter that came by and gave him some money to his dumb as shit gullible audience. He cultivated the intellectually incurious as his core audience, then proceeded to shove far right propagandists in their face.

We all knew this would happen, and he was more than happy to support these people until it started having real negative effects. I hope Joe enjoys the products of his career. Namely, being associated with bringing trump to power. I hope he never gets to live it down

[–] anomnom@sh.itjust.works 3 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

He’s also a violent, sexist, racist who joined the Epstein Class when he sold his show to Spotify for a billion dollars.

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 1 points 5 hours ago

Don't forget COVID 19 denier who went into a hilarious panic and ran to his walk in medicine cabinet when he got the virus that did not exist.

[–] TachyonTele@piefed.social 104 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago) (4 children)

Do these people have zero foresight at all? Or are they just impressively willingly ignorant?

[–] Arrandee@lemmy.world 56 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] grte@lemmy.ca 23 points 1 day ago

A quarter of a billion Spotify dollars buys a whole lot of ignorance.

[–] Rooskie91@discuss.online 14 points 1 day ago

Turns out there's not even a correlation between being rich and being smart.

Also, America is hella propagandized.

[–] Akh@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Paid millions by russia to sow division. They are enemies of the people

[–] DavorS@piefed.social 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

i was waiting for someone to blame russia instead of usa tech oligarchs, late stage capitalist lobbies and aipac money...

[–] Akh@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)
[–] DavorS@piefed.social 1 points 20 hours ago

well you didn't name both (or all of them), did you? you can pin alot of bad things on the russians, bit this is their own american shit in their own american shithouse.

[–] atomicbocks@sh.itjust.works 25 points 1 day ago

The draft never left, that’s what the Selective Service is and all men in the US are required to be part of it at 18.

The Service is supposed to be turned off when we are done with the draft.

[–] DickFiasco@sh.itjust.works 45 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If only there had been some way to know that Trump would do all this back in 2024.

[–] Ariselas@piefed.ca 41 points 1 day ago (3 children)

If only there had of been some sort of document that people could have read.

I cannot tell you how many people thought that Project 2025 was just a "liberal conspiracy theory".

I'd try to tell them it's a PDF they can, you know, download and read, if they had any actual doubts.

Crickets. I know, the idea of getting someone to read something, never mind if they are also some winger, or a low-info non-voter or a reactionary centrist....but still.

[–] artyom@piefed.social 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Does this talk about drafting citizens to war?

[–] curbstickle@anarchist.nexus 5 points 1 day ago

Not as far as I know, I think the only reference to the draft was this one:

The Army no longer reflects national demographics to the degree that it did before 1974, when the draft was eliminated.

There is a bunch of other stuff in there though about military recruitment in high schools, and all high schoolers taking the military entrance exam (ASVAB).

[–] LadyMeow@lemmy.blahaj.zone 2 points 1 day ago

But I can’t read. :’(

[–] etherphon@piefed.world 46 points 1 day ago (3 children)

This guy is so dense he doesn't get that these people are all chickenshit assholes who have other people fight for them.

[–] Eldritch@piefed.world 18 points 1 day ago (1 children)

He's so dense he makes singularities look like amateurs.

Right? He's so dense he went from hawking propaganda to hawking radiation!

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 8 points 1 day ago (1 children)

What?!

Like, yeah, rogan is dumb as fuck....

But he's telling them that they should go if they're doing a draft because he knows they won't

For fucks sake man, how did you not get that immediately?

[–] etherphon@piefed.world 15 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Sure, now he does, but he's been talking about these folks as if they were normal people for a while now; they are not contributing anything except hate, they do not have good intentions, they are not for the people. They are fakers, liars, grifters, leeches, vampires and he supported them through and through.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago (1 children)

It's not that what you're saying is false, it's that there's no logical connection to the discussion....

Like you're just saying random things about the subjects of discussion, with no regard to topic

Like, if I said Starlink was causing satellite pollution, and you replied "Elon got his dick mangled trying to make it bigger"...

Even if true, it's just derailing any attempt at conversation, and who really knows if it's true?

[–] etherphon@piefed.world 0 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If you want to waste time having a discussion about this monkey go right ahead.

[–] givesomefucks@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago (2 children)

If you want to waste time having a discussion about this monkey go right ahead

Even this...

Valid point that this is a waste of time, but if you hadn't typed that it would already be over.

[–] etherphon@piefed.world 0 points 1 day ago

Ranting on the internet is easier than going out on a street corner nowadays and I don't even have to wear the foil hat :P

[–] iThinkDifferentThanU@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

Exactly the money causes them to be dainty and proper, come hang in slums, we show you how its done

[–] Fandangalo@lemmy.world 14 points 1 day ago

Be woke: https://usmilitary.com/from-18-to-45-a-comprehensive-look-at-us-military-draft-ages/

They will push this shit, after they raised the age, and political dissidents will go to the war front. See Russian playbook.

[–] Gates9@sh.itjust.works 21 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Joe Rogan doesn’t get to pretend he’s on the other side now and I wish someone would say that to his stupid fuck face

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 day ago

I don't think he has a side other than money tbh. He hangs out with whoever gets his podcast publicity and he agrees with whoever is on his podcast. And once you let a few fascists in, it's gonna be mostly fascists unless you do something about it.

[–] yesman@lemmy.world 17 points 1 day ago

By cultivating radical individualism conservatives shoot themselves in the foot. In their vision of freedom any obligation on the citizen is an outrage.

America is weak.

Who knew that voting in Peter Thiel's Protegé would bring about a billionaire surveillance society and call for a draft in service of them (and for the rest of the Epstein class, of course).
