I’m sure I’m not the only one but I hate to listen to audio of him. His voice grates on my nerves, his thought patterns make feel like I’m getting dumber by the day every time I hear him speak, and it’s cringe worthy that a certain percentage of the population feel like he is an intelligent person.

[–] HubertManne@piefed.social 10 points 13 hours ago

my wife continually complains that him speaking or even seeing his face makes her want to bark at the screen. Like a dog where every fiber of its being is saying bad person.

I can relate. We had our own trump-wannabe running things in Brazil for 4 years. I couldn't stand hearing his voice (or of any of his shitty sons), it made my blood boil.

even freedom has a term limit.

[–] Bustedknuckles@lemmy.world 40 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Remember that republican could stop him at any time. This isn't about Trump anymore - he isn't running for re-election so disapproval has no direct effect. The only way we have in our legal framework to stop an insane authoritarian in the white house is for Congress to stop him. Their abdication of duty need to be laid at the feet of every R in office

[–] billwashere@lemmy.world 7 points 23 hours ago (1 children)

I completely agree except for the disapproval rating. I haven’t done the math but I’d suspect that a sitting president’s disapproval rating affect tickets down the ballot. Although that may just be wishful thinking.

Maybe during midterms. Otherwise they get energized by another fraud.

CNN anchor John Berman said Tuesday as the news broke. “We think that’s what the administration announced just moments ago.”

No one is entirely sure exactly what the Dementia in Chief is ever saying.

Macron added, “We are not going to take part in any forceful operation within a framework that does not seem clear to me.”

Others have said Trump risks “humiliation in full view of the world.”

That implies that he hasn't already been an embarrassment multiple times prior to this.

Why would he fuck with his embarrassment streak? Not like he has the cognitive capacity to understand what's happening.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.cafe 13 points 1 day ago* (last edited 1 day ago)

He's aced three cognitive tests, and he can tell the difference between a lion, bear, alligator, and...he thinks it was a squirrel, so that proves he's the smartest president ever.

92-word sentence. I counted 92 words.

This is a man who just starts talking/writing, and doesn't really think about what he's going to say, but just rolls with it.

It's like pressing the next word suggestion on your phone keyboard and talking like that.

[–] blattrules@lemmy.world 35 points 1 day ago (2 children)

He doesn’t even have a plan to end the current sentence he’s working on and people wanted to trust him with military plans.

[–] k0e3@lemmy.ca 3 points 13 hours ago

He doesn't even serve sentences. How do you expect him to end one?

[–] meejle@piefed.world 18 points 1 day ago

He has concepts of a plan

[–] ewo@piefed.ca 14 points 1 day ago

That's a good analogy at the end there.

[–] deadbeef79000@lemmy.nz 13 points 1 day ago (1 children)

That's exactly how an LLM works.

Have they Weekend at Bernie's'ed Trump?

Guys... He's not chickening out... He's checking out. He has dementia. Like, legitimately.

We are in the era of the mad king.

[–] PapstJL4U@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

I did not expect that 'the king in yellow' was a reference to the tapes.

Why does he keep signing his own tweets? We know it's him. His name is on the top.

[–] MalReynolds@slrpnk.net 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

TBF for the longest time I thought it was a satire account ;}

[–] Cethin@lemmy.zip 2 points 41 minutes ago

Signing it makes it look more like a satire account though, so it's not a solution.
