This cunt is a child killer. Not through negligence, but deliberately and intentionally.

  • panik : they got more drugs approved
  • kalm : we don't believe in medicine or drugs, we're antivaxxx
  • naturopathy - raw milk can cure cancer and any other disease known to man
  • tankie : their vaccines cause aids
  • tankie 2 : the drugs are approved but they don't exist
  • murican exceptionalism : our drugs are bigger, better, more expensive and cause more dependency

Soon a new trump tweet:

FAKE NEWS MEDIA won’t tell you this, but GREAT American Scientists just CRUSHED the number of DEADLY DRUGS pouring into OUR Country! DOWN BIG LEAGUE! China, you POISONOUS SCUMBAGS, STOP making your NEW KILLER DRUGS and MURDERING our Precious CHILDREN! We’re WINNING like NEVER BEFORE! MAKE AMERICA HEALTHY AGAIN! 🇺🇸

[–] FreddiesLantern@leminal.space 15 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

“I want to take this opportunity to encourage our scientists to invest more research into the fascinating field of Raccoon penis. I’ll gladly share my findings.”

[–] elucubra@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 hour ago

I hear they are pumping more money into roadkill extract for curing autism.

[–] fullsquare@awful.systems 6 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (2 children)

that's a weird metric to look at because drug approval happens only like, 5-15 years after end of preclinical research, sometimes longer

clinical trials also take fuckton of money but this might be also post-2008 cuts that we only see effects of now

[–] Bloomcole@lemmy.world 3 points 2 hours ago

It is indeed not the current administration that led to this.
It certainly won't help but that is not the cause, neither is the 2008 one.
China has been advancing in plenty fields for a few decades now.
They have already caught up or surpassed others in plenty fields.
Americans are clinging to their USA nr 1 mantra, but that's delusional.
They refuse to accept to the fact they already have been beaten and there is nothing they can do about it.
Despite banning and sanctions China has a massive lead in nearly all crucial tech fields.
The gap will only become bigger.

[–] Evotech@lemmy.world 4 points 3 hours ago

The lines must go up metric

[–] PumpkinEscobar@lemmy.world 21 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

This dude thinks aspirin causes autism but then complains we're not approving enough drugs. That tapeworm really did a number on this guy.

[–] Chakravanti@monero.town 2 points 4 hours ago

Guess where Arrakis Sandworms anscstors came from.

Should rather link to their shitty dope too.

[–] FiniteBanjo@feddit.online 17 points 5 hours ago

It's so weird watching the cognitively impaired elderly because they say 98% random left field nonsense and then the fucking 2% profound revelation statements.

[–] kablez@lemmy.world 38 points 7 hours ago (2 children)

That's so unexpected and weird, did the severed dead raccoon penis not help at all??

[–] InternetCitizen2@lemmy.world 3 points 5 hours ago

The brain worm may have shifted, thus allowing neurons to connect again.

[–] Canajan@piefed.ca 6 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Was about to make a similar comment lol, you beat me to it. So wild, who in there right mind would say to themselves “I’m gonna cut off that dead raccoons penis for research, ya research “

[–] Mog_fanatic@lemmy.world 2 points 3 hours ago

It's so so much better when you see the full quote. He thought he was the normal one in his family lol. Keep in mind this is his own words from his diary.

“I was standing in front of my parked car on I-684 cutting the penis out of a road killed raccoon, thinking about how weird some of my family members have turned out to be."

Besides drug approval, which is not a measurement in itself, I can attest to this. A large German pharma, has increased their head count from 7 to 40 within a year. They bought a local pharma for 1 billion US dollar and at the same time closed a US facility. The same goes for many other pharmas. You can say what you want about China, but they are investing heavily in science. Because they believe in science. Unlike the current regime of the US.

[–] starlinguk@lemmy.world 1 points 2 hours ago

Eh, ymmv. Did you they defunded BioNTech? The developers of what is now the Pfizer Covid vaccine? Covid vaccine research is desperately needed (see vaccine injury) but there is no funding.

Many EU countries are defunding science. Being a researcher is an absolute nightmare. Brussels is receiving tons more applications for funding because researchers aren't getting money from their own government anymore. University departments are being shut down.

People who have been doing scientific and medical research for decades are finding themselves on the streets.

[–] Canconda@lemmy.ca 51 points 9 hours ago

Canada is hiring American doctors left right and center.

[–] somethingsnappy@lemmy.world 2 points 4 hours ago (1 children)

It's so fun looking for work now after a career in vaccine and cancer therapy development.

[–] Chakravanti@monero.town 1 points 4 hours ago

Ooohh...damn...oh...uh...damn...snap.

[–] birdwing@lemmy.blahaj.zone 27 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

I still don't really trust China, it's more reliable than the US regime (minus Democratic areas) rn, but still, that's a low bar.

[–] starlinguk@lemmy.world 2 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Xi is no better than Trump.

[–] ragebutt@lemmy.dbzer0.com 0 points 41 minutes ago

Adding green energy at 8x the rate of the USA with a total of 3.89 terawatts, which is 3x larger than the entire USA energy grid, and accounting over 30% of the worlds spending towards green energy while the USA has less than 25% of the grid as green energy

Essentially ending homelessness

A notably lower prison population than the USA despite like 6x the population

A minimum wage set by provinces who are heavily encouraged to give increases every few years tied to inflation and cost of living

Actually working to shift a fee for service healthcare system to a socialized model with significant progress occurring

No airstrikes, bombings of another country, or declared wars since 1979. Even in terms of proxy wars post 1979 has been far more about economic support and diplomacy than shipping weapons

Etc etc but yes Xi and Trump are equivalent because they have a social credit score and government surveillance. That’s definitely not like the America, who has just normal credit scores, palantir, and a large chunk of your tax money funding proxy wars (and now actual war) instead of maintaining critical infrastructure or any quality of life improvements for its people.

[–] Elting@piefed.social 13 points 7 hours ago

I'm sure they will carry on the world hegemon tradition of being generally contemptible.

[–] Soup@lemmy.world 31 points 9 hours ago

Is he not directly responsible for defunding a lot of the research and programs that would have helped here? Weird that Captain All-Natural cares about having less drugs than China.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

mr wormbrain distraction for trump. notice he was eerily absent in the news when all that ice, iran attack was happening, and now that is likely is "blown over",.

[–] Catoblepas@piefed.blahaj.zone 34 points 10 hours ago

The regime cannot fail, it can only be failed. Those scientists were supposed to do their job of finding evidence for whatever possibly non-metaphorical bug RFK Jr has up his ass on a given day. 🙄

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 18 points 9 hours ago

That's what happens when you let everyone know you're not going to eat your lunch, someone else is going to eat it.

[–] Maiq@piefed.social 27 points 10 hours ago

Cancer mad it's killing the host.

[–] benny@reddthat.com 1 points 4 hours ago

The Republicans in the room:

[–] bstix@feddit.dk -3 points 3 hours ago

They are eating the cats and dogs and also our lunch of the people who live there.

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 8 points 9 hours ago (1 children)
[–] Stormy@thelemmy.club 1 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Way cooler. Their cities look way cooler too.

[–] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 0 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

What you can see of them through the smog yeah.

[–] Alwaysnownevernotme@lemmy.world 1 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago) (1 children)

They've outpaced the rest of the world combined for the last two years in renewable deployment.

[–] Valmond@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 2 hours ago

True, I think what they have deployed the last 2 years could power the whole of Europe.

Still a brutal dictatorship though.

[–] core@leminal.space 3 points 7 hours ago

It looks like he used a lot of them too.
