I miss the old days when we had literal mini bricks in our pockets and not big flat tiles today.

ive been complaining about this for the last 6 years. the counter argument has always been "but content consumption! but battery! but big hands!"

listen. thats great and all.

i dont even want a phone to begin with. i have to have one to fit into society. the very least you could do is make it palletable.

User surveys show that around 6.5" is the most popular

Umm, maybe that's because it's the most common display size?

The claim that 6-inch screens are not ideal for content is cope. People happily used sub-6-inch phones for years, and phones like the Zenfone 10 proved you can pack a capable camera, solid battery, and flagship Snapdragon in a compact frame. Manufacturers stopped making small phones not because it's technically impossible but because bigger phones sell for more and margins are thinner on compact flagships. If Sony can keep a compact line alive despite minimal market support, the other brands could too if they actually wanted to.

I had an iPhone 5 back in the day and it was so comfortable to hold and use one handed. I miss when phones were that size.

I am so geeked that unihertz exists. I wanted to join their kickstarter for the Titan 2 elite, but money issues. I do plan on getting one when they are available for sale though. I've had it with software based keyboards.

As someone that used iPhones, their abandonment of the mini was the last straw.

I had an iPhone 5 for a few years, it was the perfect size for me. When Apple enlarged their smartphones with iPhone 6 I jumped back to Android because I had more options there. I went back to iPhone 11 Pro because it was again on the smaller side. After years of rejecting >=6'' phones I finally gave in with Pixel 8 and Pixel 10...

Smaller the better. I miss my Krzr from 2006. It fit in the extra pockets that come in some jackets or guys' jeans.
