My backup phone / last daily driver had one, and I did use a SD card in it simply for another place to backup my DCIM folder as part of my 3.2.1 backup, but I did always wonder why I bothered because if I did lose the phone the SD card goes with it, making it pretty moot.

Still, I am of the notion that there's never enough backups.

Because I generally travel within the UK, it's rare for me not to have an internet connection so to be honest I've not really cared for a SD card for a fair while now. I understand in places like the US / Aussieland they're a godsend to some but I'm fairly ambivalent on the subject now.

And having a ridiculous amount of storage on tap from a couple of NAS's accessible via Tailscale, and my last three phones having between 256GB-512GB internal storage SD cards are pretty much relegated to other devices like my drone/GoPro etc. edit: I suppose another thing that fills the void for me if I do need extra storage on my phone is I can just plug one of these into the USB port from my keyring, and I've then got unlimited replaceable storage?

Don't get me wrong, I think it's stupid doing away with it and other things like IR blasters / headphone jacks and, more irritating to me? Notification LED's. My Nexus One had one, my Mi A1 and Cubot had one but I can never understand why they ain't a standard thing across the board.

I 99% of the time used reddit, and henceforth Lemmy via a mobile client (Boost at the moment) and am curious how you could target me.

There's also the other frontends like Photon that I use on my PC (1% time.....) that if I'm thinking right also wouldn't show it?

Cheers for all your work, it's much appreciated!

It's rare to see an April Fools actually work, and the last one I recall that had some up in arms was the infamous Predictable posts are driving me insane

https://old.reddit.com/r/Android/comments/88rc3v/the_predictable_threads_are_driving_me_insane/ - archive

We worked super hard on the above in the background and bravo @[email protected] - you just became GermainZ tier!

Depends if it's rainwater or, salty tears. pH can go either way then.

Because it’s a weapon.

So is a water pistol. Depends if I change the pH of the water?

I think it's actually my instance not loading "SD" images (sometimes not initially, sometimes, straight away?) and it's not until I click the "HD" button does it actually load images like the above?

My instance thou is mainly run by a couple of guy who are a little busy IRL and it might be playing a part in what happened above since Nicole generally gets through most of the time.

I hear ya.

But like I say the Fediverse is a bit different to reddit and means someone from a freshly made/hosted instance can straight up send you "bad things" in a comment thread nevermind a DM unless the Instance admins have de-federated from a spam(my)/unmoderated instance.

I've been putting off the invite to help the admins of my Instance since I'm a complete idiot at the best of times, but I do think we need more people flagging / tagging / sharing / mass banning them.

Good luck and have fun with the risky clicks ;)

Has Nicole been trying to cheat on me again?

But seriously, sometimes these come from random instances besides the one you've mentioned and I can't see how you could block them outside of playing whack-a-mole due to the nature of how the Fediverse....works.

Maybe instance admins could implement some kinda cool off feature before being able to DM another user, maybe the Lemmy devs could like you're requesting outright allow you to block DM's. Thing is, the spammers then adapt and use other methods to desperately try to get you biting their shite.

I had another yesterday

https://files.catbox.moe/lojl62.jpg

that didn't show up until I clicked the [obj] placeholder in Boost and eventually did the risky click shit even thou it could've been CSAM 🤬

So does mean samurai swords too, those decorative ones I have on a three tier mount like these?

https://www.southernswords.co.uk/samurai-three-sword-table-stand.html

Googled what a tanto end is and I'm unsure if it applies to them. Help?

I seem to be suffering from the above bug

https://github.com/TeamNewPipe/NewPipe/issues/11139

but it only seems to pervade if I'm using Tailscale to VPN ~~home~~ to my exit node at a family members house?

Is Google / YT blocking the use of VPN's here / anyone else experiencing this?
