I'd rather we keep Mamdani and deport Chip Roy.

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 4 points 2 days ago

As someone who has personally benefitted from actions of Chip Roy, I couldn't agree more. My anecdotes will never outweigh the damage he's done to countless people.

Also, just cuz an asshole accidentally helps you doesn't make them not an asshole.

Because nothing is more American than having the government regulate thought.

I’m no longer sure if the above sentiment should be interpreted sarcastically or not.

thoughtcrime doesn't entail death. thoughtcrime IS death.

FOR SUPER EARTH!!!!!!!

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Nothing? Not even apple pie or cia black ops government torture sites?

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Ever try hot apple pie with a slice of cheese?

It tastes like apple pie with cheese. I still don't get why it's a thing.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago (1 children)

gotta use the right cheese. the people who did it with shitty cheddar, that's a prank

[–] fartographer@lemmy.world 5 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Oh sure, with goat cheese, Gouda, or gruyere, I could totally see magic happening. But that's not what people serve. They serve a cheese single, plastered on some shitty crust.

[–] HeyThisIsntTheYMCA@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago (2 children)

i just have this image in my mind. the local coffee shop makes up this whipped cream cheese that is divine and i want some on a slice of blackberry pie as soon as i get a batch of ripe berries. hell yeah.

but of course i'm going to have a sleep paralysis nightmare and the hat man is going to force feed me a pie with some kraft single with the plastic still on it tonight just you watch what did i do to deserve this

[–] YerLam@lemmy.world 7 points 2 days ago

what did i do to deserve this

Didn't share the good stuff with the hat man.

The legislation seeks to amend existing immigration law to bar entry and naturalization, as well as create new grounds for deportation for anyone linked to what it describes as “totalitarian” parties, both foreign and domestic.

Trumpism is pretty "totalitarian". I wouldn't be that upset if all the magas got removed from power, and the irony of their own law being used to do it would be delicious.

That humor aside, this is a terrible idea that should be grounds for Roy's immediate removal from office.

[–] SuiXi3D@fedia.io 84 points 3 days ago (3 children)

Yeah, asshole? What about the White Americans that agree with Mamdani? What about those of us sick and fucking tired of your bullshit?

[–] ThePantser@sh.itjust.works 29 points 3 days ago (1 children)

He was voted in too, are they going to deport every voter who voted for him? That's a lot of white people.

[–] MagicShel@lemmy.zip 21 points 3 days ago (2 children)

To him, that's the wrong kind of white people, and they don't belong in the USA, though they might be tolerated in an impotent quantity.

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 8 points 3 days ago

Maybe they could reach some kind of compromise where progressive white votes were counted as, say, three-fifths of a vote.

[–] I_Jedi@lemmy.today 3 points 3 days ago

I'd argue the opposite. No doubt people like Chip Roy would favor a slow and painful demise for anyone he views as a race traitor.

[–] borkborkbork@piefed.social 17 points 3 days ago (1 children)

deport chip roy's useless ass

No take all of him

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca -2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You’re not sick and tired enough, clearly.

Do another parade, that should help.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

How about you taking Putin's dick out of your mouth long enough to fuck off?

[–] jordanlund@lemmy.world 46 points 3 days ago (1 children)

"Under the proposal, individuals could also be removed from the U.S. if they engage in or have ever engaged in advocacy for those ideologies, or if they “write, distribute, circulate, print, display, possess, or publish” material supporting them."

Someone want to re-phrase the 1st amendment for him using really small words?

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 26 points 2 days ago

I'm getting sick of this shit. I sincerely hope the midterms are punishing for these fascist traitors.

[–] Asafum@lemmy.world 44 points 3 days ago

God I can't stand these fucking scumbags...

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world 25 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Why do we continue to import people who hate us?

Born here. Hate you fucking fascists and you can all go die in a fucking fire. Fuck off.

[–] WizardofFrobozz@lemmy.ca 1 points 2 days ago (2 children)

If only Americans remembered how to start fires.

[–] TrickDacy@lemmy.world 6 points 2 days ago

Oh shit I guess it has been 30 seconds since you wished awful things on Americans so it makes sense you wrote this.

[–] daychilde@lemmy.world 12 points 2 days ago

While it is bad here, it's not like we're the only people with a growing fascist problem. Just like obesity and people giving us shit for decades, all of a sudden more countries are having some of these problems.

Keep giving us shit, sure. But just don't forget to learn from us and shut that shit down while you still can.

[–] sns@lemmy.dbzer0.com 27 points 3 days ago

Chip sounds like a child molester's name.

[–] Formfiller@lemmy.world 8 points 2 days ago

Thought crimes

[–] Malyca@lemmy.zip 13 points 3 days ago (1 children)

Looks about how I'd expect an asshole named Chip to look

[–] explodicle@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 days ago

More sedition? In my US congress??

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 2 days ago (1 children)

They spent more time on the cute title than the actual bill.

[–] FuglyDuck@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Racist fucks.

Wish there was someplace we could deport chippy to. I don’t think there’s anywhere with the primordial ooze left, though.

[–] BarneyPiccolo@lemmy.today 3 points 2 days ago

Have these guys ever seen the First Amendment?

[–] wolfeh@lemmy.blahaj.zone 7 points 2 days ago

Chip Roy < Chip Skylark

[–] devolution@lemmy.world 5 points 3 days ago

So can this act ensure deportation off white conservatives? They don't bring much value.

[–] leadore@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

Chips A'Roy is crummy.
