Empty Head. No thoughts. Just here for the CSAM and frog memes.

[–] kilgore_trout@feddit.it 13 points 9 hours ago

They are not all brainless. 4chan is just a catalogue of different imageboards.

[–] jaybone@lemmy.zip 89 points 15 hours ago (2 children)

[–] r00ty@kbin.life 18 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

Oh glad I'm not the only one.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 5 points 10 hours ago

I was thinking "btrfs, on the other hand..."

[–] r00ty@kbin.life 34 points 14 hours ago (1 children)

I misread nfts as ntfs and spent far too long wondering why that was in the list.

ntfs is dogshit from a windows user perspective too

[–] glitchdx@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago

I believe it, I just didn't run into those particular problems myself.

[–] Feathercrown@lemmy.world 7 points 10 hours ago (1 children)

You couldn't swing around a dead ms office app without hitting a linux user in here

[–] glitchdx@lemmy.world 2 points 6 hours ago

I know, but calling it out is funny to me :3

[–] r00ty@kbin.life 15 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

At this point remaining a windows user voluntarily has to be considered Stockholm syndrome.

[–] glitchdx@lemmy.world 18 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

I've been on linux for a few years now. Not going to pretend that I know what I'm doing, because I stopped being a tech enthusiast at half my current age. Aside from needing to start steam from the terminal otherwise the gui never shows up, my pc is doing exactly what I want it to and nothing more.

But then I hear cries of "but you can't play fortnite or league or some other game I don't care about"

insert the meme, you know the one "I already switched, you don't have to sell it to me"

[–] r00ty@kbin.life 3 points 11 hours ago

Oh, it's the same here. Well, I do know what I'm doing, but I used to tinker with multiple linux distros in the 90s/2000s. I used gentoo "before it was cool", when you would literally leave it building your initial install for a whole weekend.

I cannot do that now. I went through the process of installing Arch, and it's been pretty good for me with not exploding completely on me (like Manjaro did). I honestly don't have the time to sit and diagnose why I'm stuck at a text only console without internet suddenly any more. Which is exactly what happened with Manjaro.

still uses 4chan

Blind leading the blind as per usual

[–] mghackerlady@leminal.space 4 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Literally none of you have been on 4chan and it shows. Stay off of /pol/ and /b/ and it's fine. The boards are all different with the exception being they hate /pol/tards and think /b/ are useful idiots

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 1 points 4 hours ago

I'm quite prejudiced, having lost a lifelong friend to racialist bullshit he picked up on /pol/. I used to enjoy a bit of /tg/, over a decade ago, but I have better ways to spend my time these days.

[–] brucethemoose@lemmy.world 5 points 6 hours ago* (last edited 6 hours ago) (1 children)

TBH 4chan is healthier than major social media these days. I'd rank any 4chan dweller over a blue-checkmark Tweeter or a Linkedin lunatic.

And no, that is not a high bar.

[–] yakko@feddit.uk 3 points 6 hours ago (1 children)

Why bother to distinguish between two different flavours of shit?

[–] tomenzgg@midwest.social 3 points 4 hours ago

(intentionally) grossNo, no, no – you see, the diarrhea is a more smooth and easy texture than the one with maize in it and that's why it's superior

Nothing wrong with breaching epistemic bubbles to seed them with the antidote to their insanity.

Maybe someone will follow OOP's breadcrumbs out of the rabbit hole and find their way to the totally sane, healthy, rational, supportive, and always-factual spaces of the internet such as Lemmy and PieFed...

Sadly, not being a dumbass is beyond some people's capabilities. I don't know how some people put on their pants without falling flat on their dumb faces.

[–] mika_mika@lemmy.world 7 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

This is me but I worship Kasane Teto.

[–] popekingjoe@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

She is a cutie.

Do be obsessed with planting perennial herbs that taste good and attract bees

Life is great

[–] Zombie@feddit.uk 1 points 6 hours ago

Can we have some annuals too, as a treat?

[–] MonkderVierte@lemmy.zip 6 points 13 hours ago

Plant tomato or thyme, get's rid of wasps.

Maybe the shitheads you watch on YouTube are annoying?

[–] RamenJunkie@midwest.social 4 points 13 hours ago (1 children)

What if I don't watch anything on Youtube?

[–] TheTechnician27@lemmy.world 4 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago)

Then vacuous truth comes into play and all the YouTubers you watch are annoying shitheads.

Bragging about the bare minimum zero effort human bean requirements

[–] victorz@lemmy.world 14 points 17 hours ago

Not sure it's a brag, I see it as just saying, "hey guys, can we all just make a little effort? Perhaps the minimum effort?"

[–] rumschlumpel@feddit.org 14 points 18 hours ago

There are so many humans who don't meet these requirements that it is a legitimate brag at this point. Though they're posting it on 4chan, so, y'know. Plus it was posted in 2021, there were still 1-2 years of pandemic to go - considering that they were already posting on 4chan, I wouldn't bet my savings that they came out of it still meeting those minimum human requirements.

Idk all these things are true for me and life isn't that good tbh, though no doubt it could be worse
