Normal reaction to modern tech "improvements".

Fake artificial crap.

Does this mean that at some point all games going to have the same graphics and look the same?

[–] SteveNashFan@lemmy.world 12 points 4 months ago

It's already happening with UE5 games and remakes...

What do you think asset flips are?

[–] imetators@lemmy.dbzer0.com 1 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Asset flips are common in indie gamedev. If we are talking about actual gaming dev, they probably wont use this filter for the most part. Well, maybe only the shitty devs/publishers will.

There is nothing more important than an artstyle of the game. Designers usually go though tons of iterations to pick one. Games have well-thought-out crafted color palettes. I feel like DLSS5 could break all of this and become rogue on all the design that has been carefully picked and agreed upon by development team.

That's my point. Shitty developers use asset flips. Shitty developers will use poorly-generated AI art, and this homogeneous AI art style as DLSS.

The common element is shitty developers, not AI.

Everybody hates DLSS-5, but it sure delivers on the comedy front.

"How it started" vs "how it's going", just reversed.

[–] samus12345@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago)

As long as "how it's going" is known to be AI generated and not in any way indicative of reality, it's on point.

I'm seeing some Luigi in the, am I the only one??

Would be a funny coincidence that the AI slop generator would give Tequila Sunset the face of one of the only Americans who does something against the problem.
