He should be pleading. But he is demanding. That's the weird part. He does not have the cards for demanding.
You break it, you own it. He attacked, without reason. Hell! According to them its not even a war. Get congress to declare war first, then we talk.
Surprisingly, Starmer has so far shown signs of having a spine. He must be facing a backbench revolt.
"I want Greenland! Give me Greenland, or I'll go to war with Europe! Give me what I want OR ELSE! "

What? Wasn't already won one week ago, and no help was needed? Now it needs to beg for help?
This is the same country that was seriously planning to invade and annex Greenland just three months ago. They might have postponed their plans in favor of bombing Iran, but Greenland is still on the table.
So Europe may suffer the economic consequences of this mess, but the White House getting humiliated and the US military getting degraded and bogged down in Iran are both a boon for Europe.
My only fear that some European leaders (looking at you Starmer) might actually be stupid enough to follow them in this folly out of some misplaced sense of appeasement.
I'm starting to think he was never very good at the businesses and the strategies all along!

I submit the following: an oil shock and the resultant recession/depression is worth enduring so that the world may be rid of Trump. Let the idiot wear his blunder, and may the economic disaster he unleashed be forever known as the Trump Slump. The alternative might be WW3.
One thing, though: we must help Ukraine defeat Putin. Russia is getting a huge boost right now from Trumps's blunder. If the UK and others send ships anywhere, it should be to blockade Russia.

The problem with the American military doctrine, is that they don't have one; everytime they need to fight a war, they find somebody else to be the troops while they stick to a "support" role.
