I don't argue with most of your conclusions here, but language can shape how we think. As one example, for languages that have more regular number words (12 = 1 10 2, for instance) the children can learn how to count to 100 much earlier - and this can factor into math understanding.

but that map was made by people who were doing the traditional measuring, not "are women in the work they want to be in", but "are women & men equally-represented in the various employments.

Pinker's book make it absolutely-clear that that is mis-measuring/mis-representing the question.

The research that showed that if people don't have a word for a concept, that concept tends to be not-discussable.

There is a book "They have a word for it" which was on words the English didn't have, but needed, because the concepts needed to be discussed.
