but that map was made by people who were doing the traditional measuring, not "are women in the work they want to be in", but "are women & men equally-represented in the various employments.

Pinker's book make it absolutely-clear that that is mis-measuring/mis-representing the question.

& having spoken with people from the Soviet Union in my life, Susan Pinker's describing true fact.

The research that showed that if people don't have a word for a concept, that concept tends to be not-discussable.

There is a book "They have a word for it" which was on words the English didn't have, but needed, because the concepts needed to be discussed.

The not-differentiating-blue in languages which don't have a word for blue, is also evidence.

Yes, human-languages do program our thought to fit the languages we're living-in/through.
