Less than 25% people support it. Every country has some crazies, but we're basically all pissed.

[–] outofthisworld@lemmy.org 6 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Unlikely. 25% may support it, but few people outside of here are actually pissed. They just don’t really care to understand the situation. If 75% cared, we would have rioting in the street and not just useless protest signs doing jack shit.

We did next to nothing about ICE, and that’s in our backyard. We won’t do a damn thing about a foreign country.

Or we're too scared to do anything.

[–] Deceptichum@quokk.au 2 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Too scared to go on strike?

[–] AlexanderTheDead@lemmy.world 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Yes. People are cowardly. I am seeing people say there will be another strike on March 7th. I took all my money out of my bank account, too.

[–] Stormy@thelemmy.club 2 points 5 days ago

I'll go get all mine out today. I forgot about that.

[–] outofthisworld@lemmy.org 1 points 5 days ago

Too weak and self indulgent

Seems like an illegal war to distract the masses from a poor economy, an out of control immigration enforcement agency, and an Epstein cover up. At this point I just hope the people of Iran end up in a better position than before the war but I'm not optimistic.

Side note: it also seems like Trump may be cozying up to Israel to gain favor in Gaza rebuild.

Edit: I should have clicked the link prior to just stating my views

Trump is dumber than a brick of shit. But even more so thinking Israel is going to let him own any land or property in Gaza.

They will be happy to let trump pay for buildings.

No way will they let anyone else own that land.

I couldn't decide on piece of shit or dumb as a brick and was like.. why not both. ?

[–] Cosmonauticus@lemmy.world 2 points 6 days ago

My bricks of shit have enough common sense not to stick to the right side of the toilet

[–] supersquirrel@sopuli.xyz 3 points 6 days ago

I mean, I like your commentary, put it in the box!

[–] human@slrpnk.net 13 points 6 days ago (1 children)

Could buy a lot of healthcare with that money. Killing people in both countries instead of helping anyone in either.

[–] Corkyskog@sh.itjust.works 0 points 6 days ago

I think the silver bugs might be on to something. Did you know there is somewhere between 15 - 500oz of silver in each of those defensive missiles they are firing?

[–] watson387@sopuli.xyz 12 points 6 days ago

We are in a war meant to end the world because too many dumbfucks in power have an imaginary friend.

  • start meaningless war emphasizing terrorist threat
  • stage false-flag
  • cancel elections

Don't forget

  • broadcast some people celebrating in the street of the country you just bombed so that it seems like it was justified.

"See, we liberated them from tyranny! The same tyranny I wield at home!"

I haven't been paying attention to this, if it hasn't happened already, I guarantee the talking points from the MAGA civilians will shift to being world police again, and how we had to bomb them to release them from the dictator. Ya know the same people that were angry just 2 years ago about how we stick our noses all over the world and don't take care of our own at home, which Trump ran his entire campaign on: "America first" and all that.

[–] First_Thunder@lemmy.zip 6 points 6 days ago

The same people that were mad about helping someone that actually asked for help (Ukraine)

[–] Theprogressivist@lemmy.world 7 points 6 days ago

No matter what you do you'll never escape being a traitorous pedophilic rapist.

[–] green_goglin@thelemmy.club 5 points 5 days ago

It’s a distraction from Trump raping kids.

[–] ButtermilkBiscuit@feddit.nl 3 points 5 days ago

Most people in my circle think it's fucking nuts, but none of them were magats anyway.

I think the perception about life in the US is that everything is massively expensive, the job market is cratering, you see more homeless people on the streets every day, and bombing Iran is to help cover for the terrible domestic situation and serves as a distraction from the Epstein files. I personally think this helps position trump to try and remain president or slip the country into dictatorship. He has used the courts to position that and now will create emergency after emergency to solidify his justification for calling off elections or for arguing that he should become dictator.

Another thought I've had is it's another trump oil grab, I don't buy the shit about nuclear Iran or doing this out of some sense of helping the world. Trump is a racist and wants to be a dictator, this helps get him the oil he will need to continue cornering the market and stripping power from opec.

I think all of the chaos he's created ultimately serves to distract from the fact he's a pedophile, rapes children, and is dirty as dogshit when it comes to his finances. Dudes grifting billions out of the system, taking emoluments, suing the corporations and government itself to extract patronage payments, making deals that benefit his companies, and has been accepting bribes through his various companies and investments.

What's most wild is seeing people wearing maga hats cheering this shit on. The dudes a traitor and his yokel base props him up like he's Jesus reincarnated.

This war brought to you by Israel. Israel, blackmailing the worlds most rich and powerful with impunity for the past 50+ years. /advertisement

Americans born in the last 30 years have seen the USA engaged in some form of conflict in the Middle East most of their life. I imagine they're numb and mostly don't give a fuck.

Wrong administration for this type of thing
