Self-professed misogynist influencer Andrew Tate believes reading is for people with “slow brains,” according to a recent resurfaced clip of him on X. In the video, Tate is seen bragging that his brain is too advanced for reading and that he’d rather be in constant chaos.

“I’m too smart to read. I know you’re sitting there going ‘smart people read’... no. I need action. I need constant chaos in my life to feel content. I need to be driving a supercar and f—ing fighting, f—ing a bunch of hoes and champagne… going crazy.”

Future American president.

[–] ecvanalog@lemmy.world 7 points 1 hour ago

He has the requisite sex crime experience!

[–] 87Six@lemmy.zip 2 points 58 minutes ago

To Andrew Tate I recommend a lobotomy to increase his intelligence

I just wish for a world where I am not exposed to mr chinless every dumb thing he says. Or every famous individidual says. Use your critical thinking and wits, for your opinion. If something seems that wrong, it is.

Dear Andrew. You need to fill your head with stuff cause you're unable to sit in the silence of your own mind since it's shouting what an utter failure you are at being a decent person. You've hurt so many people, and deep down you know that ain't right. It's called cognitive dissonance. I want to hope you can become a whole person someday, but frankly you don't deserve that. Honestly I can't see you as anything other than a drain on society.

[–] idyllic@leminal.space 2 points 2 hours ago

Loved your response. Simple, logical, thoughtful and beautiful.

To sit in the silence of one's own mind...

You sir are a thinker.

Stop make stupid people famous. Negative attention is also attention.

[–] amos@slrpnk.net 6 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

Agreed. I will never understand how these people got famous. I do understand that they are manipulative and all that, but still... For manipulative people to be successful, one needs to be manipulated. I think this says more about the manipulated (and society overall) than it does about these manipulative, stupid, pieces of shit.

We will always have unscrupulous pieces of shit. The fact that society is choosing to make these people famous, and "powerful", is dystopian. Absolutely pathetic.

Who's more foolish? The fool, or the fool that follows him?

[–] Blackmist@feddit.uk 10 points 3 hours ago (1 children)

That would be the same Andrew Tate who made his money getting punched and kicked in the head, right?

I'm sure his brain is doing just fine.

[–] ebolapie@lemmy.world 14 points 3 hours ago* (last edited 3 hours ago)

no, this is the Andrew Tate who made his money doing human trafficking and crypto scams. He might have made some startup capital from getting brain damage but his money came from being a piece of shit.

[–] Alpha71@lemmy.world 6 points 4 hours ago* (last edited 4 hours ago)

It's people like him who make me realize that if I wasn't a good person, (well okay, alright person) I could be rich beyond my wildest dreams.

[–] phutatorius@lemmy.zip 14 points 5 hours ago (1 children)

Too smart to live, too, but too dumb to die.

[–] NotASharkInAManSuit@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago

One of god’s own.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 7 points 4 hours ago

Isn't that convenient. Yeah well I'm too smart to listen to Andrew Tate so I really can't say.

[–] TigerAce@lemmy.dbzer0.com 10 points 5 hours ago (2 children)

People bragging about how super smart they are usually lower the population average significantly.

[–] hector@lemmy.today 4 points 4 hours ago

These people are just shameless manipulators of the stupid, which is the only form of intelligence our society really respects right now.

Ie, elon musk is a genius, why? Not for doing anything real, but for hyping the value of his stocks beyond any semblance of reason. The president, all the rw influencers, business dickheads, the quality they have that is valued is playing the population, no one cares if it's true, they care if they get enough people to believe it and therefore make money off of it.

Meanwhile people that actually invent stuff, that actually figure stuff out, aren't even celebrated, they are a cog in a machine under one of these confidence men, their contributions attributed to the Musks of the world. Nikola Tesla would not be respected if he was around today, just used and abused by these manipulators that would take all the credit.

"I’m, like, a smart person. I don’t have to be told the same thing in the same words every single day,"

[–] Fedizen@lemmy.world 20 points 7 hours ago

"I'm to smart to use my brain" says guy who is on the run from eastern european authorities.

I need constant chaos in my life to feel content. I need to be driving a supercar and f—ing fighting, f—ing a bunch of hoes and champagne… going crazy.”

[–] 58008@lemmy.world 34 points 8 hours ago (3 children)

I need action. I need constant chaos in my life to feel content.

This is the sound of deep, deep, profound, deep insecurity chasing a man down a never-ending alleyway peppered with neon signs that say "Unattractive to Women?", "Easily Bullied By Other Men?", "GAY???"

I hope he does serious prison time for his crimes, because it will be extra enjoyable knowing that it's literally the worst place he could ever find himself. No escaping one's own mind in that place.

[–] Aceticon@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 3 hours ago

Yeah, that quoted statement definitly sounds like a massive cope for a profound feeling of emptiness and/or inedequacy.
