Rules:
1. Be civil

2. All posts should contain a source (url) that is as reliable and unbiased as possible and must only contain one link.
Obvious biased sources will be removed at the mods’ discretion. Supporting links can be added in comments or posted separately but not to the post body. Sources may be checked for reliability using Wikipedia, MBFC, AdFontes, GroundNews, etc.
3. No bots, spam or self-promotion.
Only approved bots, which follow the guidelines for bots set by the instance, are allowed.
4. Post titles should be the same as the article used as source. Clickbait titles may be removed.
Posts which titles don’t match the source may be removed. If the site changed their headline, we may ask you to update the post title. Clickbait titles use hyperbolic language and do not accurately describe the article content. When necessary, post titles may be edited, clearly marked with [brackets], but may never be used to editorialize or comment on the content.
5. Only recent news is allowed.
Posts must be news from the most recent 30 days.
6. All posts must be news articles.
No opinion pieces, Listicles, editorials, videos, blogs, press releases, or celebrity gossip will be allowed. All posts will be judged on a case-by-case basis. Mods may use discretion to pre-approve videos or press releases from highly credible sources that provide unique, newsworthy content not available or possible in another format.
7. No duplicate posts.
If an article has already been posted, it will be removed. Different articles reporting on the same subject are permitted. If the post that matches your post is very old, we refer you to rule 5.
8. Misinformation is prohibited.
Misinformation / propaganda is strictly prohibited. Any comment or post containing or linking to misinformation will be removed. If you feel that your post has been removed in error, credible sources must be provided.
9. No link shorteners or news aggregators.
All posts must link to original article sources. You may include archival links in the post description. News aggregators such as Yahoo, Google, Hacker News, etc. should be avoided in favor of the original source link. Newswire services such as AP, Reuters, or AFP, are frequently republished and may be shared from other credible sources.
10. Don't copy entire article in your post body
For copyright reasons, you are not allowed to copy an entire article into your post body. This is an instance wide rule, that is strictly enforced in this community.

TL;DR:
DHS issued a statement that he was killed in self-defense, then announced that they were taking over the investigation from the FBI, and will issue a ruling. Which they already issued.
I just can not believe how easily it was for a fat, imbecilic, orange, russia compromised, dementia riddled, bankruptcy championing, failed reality TV star, confirmed rapist AND child rapist took over the whole of the now Nazied States of America.
It's unfathomable.
I can understand how a charismatic intelligent person could do it.
Or a moderately clever, good looking and charismatic person like Clooney or Brad Pitt being able to do it. But, that thing? That disgusting thing that's been blatantly and obviously disgusting for literally decades? How? HOW?
I just don't understand. It is mind boggling. I literally can not understand. Fucks sake.
I am right there with you. And I see some people referring to him as "charismatic". A point that is often made is "JD Vance won't be able to do anything since he is not charismatic". And I think to myself "What the fuck? Anyone is more charismatic than that fat ugly pedophile piece of shit Trump".
I think people are confusing terms. In my opinion, Trump is not in his position because he is charismatic. He is in his position because he is stupid as fuck. Almost to the point of being retarded (sorry for the term, but fuck that). People of power see Trump as POTUS and think "wait, he is so stupid, I can use him for my own gains". And they do so. Trump is a marioinette.
Trump is an ugly evil person. But worse than that, he is showing how ugly and evil other people are. And those other people seem to be a significant portion of the population!! Everyone who is taking advantage of him is equally ugly and evil. This is the most scary thing to me. Not that Trump is evil, but that the number of people that are equally evil is larger than 30%.
I would maintain that he got in because he is evil, and he and other evil people got together, and decided they would pay whatever it cost, say whatever had to be said, and do whatever it took, for as long as it took, to elevate their representative to the presidency, then use the opportunity to reconfigure the government so it was theirs to exploit for as long as there is anything left to take.
That means creating an election system that filters out the competent and sincere, and filters in charismatic liars and conmen, gaming that system as much as possible, and finally rigging elections.
And Trump may not seem charismatic to you, because you picked Critical Thinking Skills along the way. But Republicans have suppressed the teaching of Critical Thinking Skills in public schools, so we have an entire nation that looks at a guy in a suit who is telling them everything they want to hear, and they love him, and vote for him. Then they only have to steal enough votes to put him over the top.
