It was not, the chain of custody was laughable, it should be completely inadmissible

yeah the officer that transported the backpack actually turned off her camera for 15 minutes, against regulations.
Gee, I wonder why...
It's possible that she was so excited that she forgot that this is not a normal case, and would have additional scrutiny.
It makes me wonder how many innocent people are framed and convicted.
There is plenty of docos around how the US police seem to be so keen to close cases they just pin it on disabled people.
It's pathetic and shameful...
This was peak performative policing and probably illegal behind the scenes tactics. And it’s going to cost them their case I hope.
Luigi Mangione? You mean the guy that was sleeping on my couch in December of 2023? Why are they picking on this guy? He wasn't even there.
2023? He was on my couch in 2024.
That's what I meant, he was definitely on my couch in 2024.
He was on ALL our couches on that blessed day!
I heard he was out feeding orphans and adopting elderly dogs.
I heard he was out building homes for the homeless and raising money for child cancer research.
I heard he was fixing bugs in the Civ 6 UI
So that's how he earned his sainthood!
I wish, mine got JD Vanced
That's weird Luigi was inside of me all of 2024
To add to what others have said regarding chain of custody and illegal procedure: just look at that face!
If you would hit, you must acquit
I'm glad that logic didn't hold up for Bundy.
I'm gonna get downvoted to the other side of the planet for this... but I think that Leavitt, in stills, not spewing vile shit from her scroteholster, and completely disassociated from reality... is quite attractive. That said, she goes up against the wall with the rest of them when the time comes. Don't let a pretty face skew your judgement.
Or give cops the benefit of the doubt. Luigi didn't do shit, the evidence was planted and it's plainly obvious.
I have very little expectation that Luigi is going to get off, much less have his death penalty overturned. At least not anytime soon.
Our highest judicial branch is compromised and serve capital, the same people that Luigi targeted. They HAVE to make an example of him, and law and constitution be damned. They've already demonstrated they don't give two fucks about process and law, which should make us all VERY motivated to topple this regime.
All jokes and memes aside, we literally don't know if it even was Luigi Mangione, for all we know they really did plant a gun on him because they got some tip that the actual killer made it out of the country. They have been breaking the law and covering up crimes since their first administration, any of us are in danger of being a convenient scapegoat for Cash "Crazy Eyes" Patel to plant a stripper clip in our backpack with "TRUMP BAD" hastily written on the shells in sharpie.
But if some measure of sanity is restored to the country, it's highly likely that Luigi will get a new trial at the very least.
Unless there's a complete abandonment of our laws (unfortunately possible) no court can do anything if a jury finds him not guilty
There are so many problems with this case that it seems impossible to win, especially since it seems like an excellent candidate for jury nullification.
Curious how he's in custody for his murder trial, yet a certain ICEhole isn't ...
Spoiler: T'weren't
