No, a flat amount will never work. Make it a multiple of some figure, like average wage. That way it actually changes with inflation and we don't have a situation where the the inflation adjusted minimum wage is 6 times the actual federal minimum wage.

I think it's a pretty core democratic value that no person is worth more than another. A compromise of 1 million times should satisfy individuals with even the most acute case of wealth hoarding.

Had a rich friend in college, think ~10s of millions?( ¿I am totally making up a number, I had no idea) But they took me to a party in a remote neighborhood that had an airport complete with multiple helipads. Or at least there were a half dozen on the side off the tarmac.

But that $4,000/night beach resort was still just on the fucking beach, easy to access with like 3 minutes of walking. They still go out in public, they're not all being escorted by Secret Service. It almost feels like they've succeeded in convincing everyone they're untouchable when they're so not.
Yeah actually the ones i've known were not in the US, where personnel is cheaper. They had drivers and nannies but no bodyguards that's true. "Problem" is we're in majority decent people who are not going to physically assault someone for being rich. I know I'm not gonna.
