To the rest of the civilised world, "pessimistic" is one way to describe it. In Europe and the UK, we have a lovely, easy to access and very low cost, efficient health service. (Ignoring current attempts to asset strip the NHS to set up private healthcare, to which I routinely ask people to compare themselves to Americans)
I'm glad Canada's exists but the provincial premiers are trying to drain it for privatization
Our “health care” in this country is a complete fucking scam. My insurance routinely denies any claim more complicated than a simple checkup, even though my policy clearly covers things like occasional X-rays and ordered blood draws.
“Oh, you got an X-ray, cool. But that’s just the X-ray, it’s an extra $400 for a radiologist to review it. You didn’t realize that? Thought shit! Even though there is no way to know that, you are still on the hook. Sucker!”
Every goddamned time it’s hours on the phone or computer appealing and threats of bills going to collection. It’s extortion, plain and simple. They appear to do everything they can to coax an unwarranted payment from the patient.
"pessimistic about"
A record number of Americans have been disenfranchised from healthcare
Killing off the weak and poor.
Healthcare should be one of those things that should be available regardless of how much money you have. America just uses it as a cash cow.
You'd save so much more money if you paid a bit of extra tax and had public health care. Even if only for basic stuff.
You can still have your insurance to help cover non essential stuff if you want. The current system is only helping the insurance companies, not the people.
Only 47% think it has major problems? Is that because the remaining 53% don’t get to experience any healthcare at all?
I don't get where these polls come from, certainly nobody ever asked my broke ass opinion what I think about healthcare.
It's not just healthcare.
Duh?
