So if I call an Uber and it’s a Tesla, it’s my fault if I can’t escape after a crash cuz I didn’t RTFM?

I think her husband and a cousin have criminal legal issues so this may be pardon seeking behavior. Not that it excuses anything

Most of whom voted for Trump. It sucks for them but the US isn’t going to get better until the people supporting the GOP learn some really hard lessons

In my part of the US, if you go to the cheapest grocery store with the cheapest produce, then you will get better prices than the farmer’s market. But it’s very sad depressing produce. Mealy, grainy apples, banged up squash, etc.

If you go to a standard middle of the road supermarket you’ll get meh produce for slightly less than the farmer’s market. If you go to Costco you’ll get a shitton of meh to decent produce for what you would have spent on a normal amount of food at the regular grocery.

High end grocers have similar prices and quality as the farmer’s markets. The fancy grocers have out of season imported stuff at a high price.

Some Asian grocers have really good deals on really fresh produce, but they don’t have much organic stuff.

The farmer’s markets have really amazing selection and variety within the scope of what is local and in season. There’s a dude with over a dozen varieties of potatoes. There’s a mushroom seller with like 4-5 different kinds of oyster mushrooms. There’s a stand that just sells foraged stuff that you almost never see in grocery stores. The meat and fish are much more expensive but small producers can’t possibly compete with factory farms on that stuff.

For buying a house, isn’t it kinda like the stock market (except way less liquid). Yeah, the prices may go down in a year but someone may swoop in and buy while you’re sitting on the sidelines trying to time the bottom.

But even if we could get relief on inflation, the prices wouldn’t keep decreasing by large amounts forever, right? It’s not like cars would eventually cost negative money and they pay you to take them. At some point the expected savings from waiting aren’t enough to justify the pain of doing without the shiny new thing.

If the test came back with unexpected results, it would imply that you were cheating on your BF (assuming it’s a monogamous relationship) and hiding it, therefore, being dishonest. So in a way, the request for a test can be considered accusing you of cheating and lying. So I can see why it would feel insulting and humiliating.

Looking at it from your BF’s parent’s perspective, even if they think you are the most amazing and honest ray of sunshine, it’s their responsibility to look out for their son. And life teaches us that people who seem wonderful can sometimes surprise us and even the most solid relationships can fall apart. 18 years of child support is a lot of money ( $100k+?). Maybe you will have a long and happy marriage or whatever but they have to consider the possibility. So before their son potentially signs up for a $100k+ commitment, I can see why they would want to trust but verify.

Regardless, it isn’t reasonable to expect 18 years olds to be abstinent. Accidents happen all the time and probably account for like half the human population. You have nothing to be ashamed of. Hopefully, you and your BF can move forward with solid love and support from both of your parents. Good luck!

Yeah. Looks like it.

Maybe I’m just face-blind or being dense but the photos from the scene of the crime look like a different dude than the ginning hostel check in guy. The jackets and backpacks are different. Although people can have multiple jackets and backpacks. We don’t see much of the shooters face but the eyebrows look different. Although, people can pluck/shave eyebrows. I guess the happy hostel guy would have come forward and been like “WTF?” and “I have an alibi” if it wasn’t him?
